That's what i like about 4th gen GG competition they are tons of girlgroup at the top currently , Newjeans, Aespa, Ive, Lesserafim, Idle
And you could think that with so many GG at the top some of them would overlap with each other musically or concept wise but no
Each one of them have been able to catch a certain part of the public
And stand out from each other with their music and concept
Like none of them have anything similar with each other

‧₊˚✩彡MY OPINION: I agree with this, 4th gen is one of the most competitive generations in my opinion. Each groups has its own fandom, which has different music tastes and etc. Also am I the only one who feels like more concepts are being introduced in 4th gen? I feel like in other generations, groups mainly stuck to one or two concepts that were really popular. Of course you still had groups who presented new ideas, but I feel like they weren’t that popular. In. 4th gen it feel like all concepts are being embraced and accepted, starting from LESSERAFIMS runway model vibe, to AESPAS futuristic theme. Also with companies like CUBE, and STARSHIP ENT getting to shine, the competition will only increase.

There are so many top GGs right now, but each of them have a unique colour.
And just to add more groups, ITZY, StayC, even NMIXX, they are all so uniquely different

Everglow were the literal daughters of Blackpink in terms of musical style. Adios, Dun Dun and Pirate could have easily been BP tracks. But they got overshadowed by Aespa after their fandom seemed to abandon them after Ladida and after Aespa blew up with Next Level, and EG hasnt recovered since. Now, it looks like girl crush is on its way out, with New Jeans' Y2K concepts being the "trendy" thing in GG music.
