What are good examples of groups "maturing" their sound without losing their OG audience?

Agree with this
Display MoreThey debuted with the cutest song ever as babies with Chewing Gum
Then they grew into boys who had started having crushes with My First And Last and We Young
Started feeling rebellious as teenagers with Go and We Go Up
Maturity started with Fire Flies (they started seriously confessing their feelings) and Boom (even tho there was a bit of ice cream in there) and continued to Ridin, Hot Sauce...and the rest is history.
I think they've had the best transition from teenagers to young adults among all groups.
And with this
NCT dream have by far the best way to mature their concept mature with them
And anybody can relate to their evolution because the way they mature literally reproduce how every people are in life
They started as kids, innocent and cute
Then to playful and discovering new love as little child with We young, and My first and my last
To then teenagers with a more carefree image with we go up
And teenagers going through their rebellious era with Go
and finally we had them being at the end of their teenage, still young but more mature with ridin and boom
And i don't think they are still full mature yet
They give more young adult image in their concept going from very mature with glitch mode to "we just want to enjoy our life while we're young " concept with beatbox, hot sauce etc...
Their concept currently give more a " we are in peace with ourselves now, we understood that we are adult but still young in our mind"
