Monogamy has its roots in the patriarchal notion that women were “property” to be distributed equally among men. Not that polygamy is good in itself, because it used to be abused by kings who wanted to have harems. Now we live in an age where women have more equality. People are sexually liberated and in most Western countries won’t be put in jail just because they had multiple partners. Many people have open relationships. And in recent times, more women have boyfriends than individual men have girlfriends. It only makes sense to NOT make polygamy illegal if all adults involved consent.

When have you EVER seen a happy polygamous marriage that didn't have a million problems. When have you seen a couple (or couples...) walking down the street all holding hands....usually those people are cult members . polygamy is a old practice that has no ethical use in this day and age. why do you need 5 wives or 5 husbands? seriously
ONE is ENOUGH! open relationships NEVER work out. that is because humans are not polygamists beings, at least not in this age. -

Oh, how much negativity I've heard about the fact that I've had several partners. I am very amorous and can have feelings for several partners at the same time. I've been blamed for that by guys, obviously not girls. I want to live to see the patriarchy breаkdоwn, then the world will be a better place.

I don't doubt that polyamorous relationships work for some people but I think it's exceedingly rare.
It probably works best when none of the parties involved are interested in long term commitment and there are no plans to ever move in together. Kind of like permanent friends with benefits where nobody has any kind of expectation of it ever being more than that.
