The BIG 3 is over but soon there would be HYBE, KAKAO and CJ E&M. Here's why...

  • Lemme put on a tinfoil hat and process this...

In the future, there would only be HYBE, KAKAO and CJ E&M Music in KPOP. From the way I've seen it- the BIG 3 is over from the moment LSM sold his stakes and HYBE became the majority shareholder in SM. The Kpop landscape will change and there would be no legacy anymore. It will be like the US wherein we only have SONY, UMG and Warner Music. These behemoths control the market share in the pop music scene with top music artists in the world under their subsidiaries and distributing their music. And I feel like, this is what's gonna happen to Kpop.

JYP have Twice and Stray Kids under them that's profitable. Then we have YG, who only have BP and Treasure that's profitable. Twice is past their peak and SK needs to enlist once they've reached a certain age. BP destiny is unknown and Treasure cannot carry YG and they also have to enlist later on. It's only a matter of time until a certain corporation whether KAKAO or CJ&E acquire JYP and YG.

I might not like HYBE personally and the way they run things sometimes, but I give props to them for being one step ahead in the game and overseeing things and the future of Kpop. It's clear that HYBE is modelling after UMG who have been handling different groups under their different subsidiaries and all are doing well digitally and physically. They also have the Biggest Group in the world with them.

We have yet to see what's gonna happen for Kpop in the future, but it is clear that the poised Big 3 is over and soon their legacy will be forgotten, just like how no one remembers MOTOWN anymore...

All things come to an end eventually, and it's time for people come to terms with it.

  • a lot wrong with this opinion. I won't take the time to pick it apart because I don't think it's a serious post.

Will just say, this is a Naver vs. Kakao thing. It's been building for years.

  • Kpopies always labelling people when they read something they didn't particularly like to fit their narrative.

I already made a thread like this long ago, but yours is more trollish and from a HYBE stan's point of view.

What even is HYBE stan's POV? lol

    Trollish? Can you elaborate why?

A month ago, if someone said before that HYBE will become the major shareholder of SM and how the latter company will make a fool of themselves to public to not get eaten by their rival company, then I would probably call this a troll thread. But atp, anything can happen.

  • What even is HYBE stan's POV? lol

Imagine calling Twice past their peak and BP's destiny unknown, when these groups still generate more profits for each comeback than all of HYBE's GGs combined.

Mentioning Stray Kids will go to military anyway, as if Seventeen and TXT wouldn't be in the military either by that time. I don't understand why you needed to mention that anyways.

Also if hyping up HYBE as a smart company and comparing it to UMG, isn't company stan behaviour then what is?

If you are a fan of these artists and got offended, then you probably don't want to hear my take again, so you can choose not to read this...

I will even put on a TW// for certain fans..

What's with this kpopie mindset? So, if someone recognized something good about a company then they are immediately called a HYBE stan? Then if it's criticizing a company and not liking their certain moves, then (lemme guess) they are called a HYBE anti?

Sorry, but I refused to be sucked into this mob mentality and immature labelling by certain kpop fans. It's just another way to cope when someone said something they didn't like/agree with.

  • why do all good things come to an end?
