What do you look for in a romantic partner?

i don't mind dating anyone from any background as long as they're a good person

All the things my partner isn't - handsome, wealthy and healthy but he has a sense of humour and is a great support for my mental health and we are proof of a compatible couple as we have been together for 22 years next month. I wouldn't want a partner with looks as they wouldn't have stayed as long as he has.

Stability.

Including financial stability.

They don't have to earn a lot, as my job pays well enough to cover the bills, but I don't want someone who constantly spends our remaining money on useless junk or habits like gambling.

Maturity.

I refuse to put up with someone who has constant emotional outbursts and acts like a teenager.

Must be willing to help with housework.

I work full time. 9-10 hours per day, 5-6 days a week...I'm not going to be someone's maid on top of that while they relax on the sofa.

Loyalty.

Any kind of affair would mean it's over. Doesn't matter who it was with or why, because I don't care and there is no justification.

Good personal hygiene.

I once had someone nonchalantly admit to me that they only brush their teeth every two to three weeks, and I was like: OK. Where's that door, because I just remembered that I have this really important appointment. With my dentist.

No drug addicts. And in my world that includes smokers.

Should probably be an atheist too, as I'm very critical of religion.

to be a mentally strong person as i sometimes need someone to lean on

someone who's willing to have me work long hours or sometimes travel for work. i haven't started my career but by the looks of it, the one im going to choose is going to require long working hours & maybe travelling.

also someone who isn't WEALTHY but like that HAS money. and that doesn't waste it on gambling

loyal. like if he cheats then B Y E !

uhm also one that appreciates the small thing. like walking when the leaves are falling or taking bike-rides. reading is also a biggie as i love reading and would love someone to cuddle with as we read. one who enjoys simplicity and going to art museums and looking at the art & discussing it. one who likes ART as i am an artist myself 7 maybe enjoys it? they must like art and going to museums & appreciating art hung in museum walls.

they must also like classical music as that is an interest of mine. that is such an important trait bcs classical music is a favorite of mine and i really would want somebody who goes to see orchestras with me!!!
