I hope she's protected from actually interacting with this hatred. Her apology was very good and I hope the sensible people who were offended by it could understand her context and could move on.
Regardless, this issue attracted bandwagons of nationalists and racists who were never part of the kpop ecosystem to begin with and were piling on hate. They too will move on when something else incites their hatred, but it will take time.
Yes the undeserved backlash is disgusting.
I've said before with other issues, but the treatment that some of these idols get quickly just becomes flat out bullying and worse than whatever they did in the first place. Truly gross that some people can defend and partake in these kind of witch hunts.
