YouTube is not trendy anymore.
I don’t find it that surprising New Jeans have more Spotify streams than YouTube

All the 4th gen HYBE groups (TXT, ENHYPEN, LESSERAFIM, NewJeans) have better spotify streams than youtube views.
LE SSERAFIM seems to be the strongest so far.
TXT and ENHYPEN have always been slow.
NewJeans releases multiple MV versions.
TXT and NewJeans also have a couple very long videos (Nap of a Star, Magic Island, OMG, Eternally, Ditto), all of which are 5 minutes+.
HYBE also doesn't use ads, they're on of the few notable companies that doesn't these days.
To me, it seems that HYBE group fandoms are less focused on videos and focused on music, which has pros and cons to it.

also Newjeans fan ( multi stans)
I wonder
if the allegation is true
did HYBE really buying 500 playlist for Newjeans mediaplay?
My answer is possible
unbias opinionAll companies pay for some playlisting Esp the big ones like kpop-on and todays top 50, it’s called promotions, if people don’t like it they won’t listen and streams won’t go up. Look at your other groups playlists guarantee more than 500 it ain’t just newjeans.
I don’t know why anyone is taking that pann article and knetz seriously when they took screenshots of a tweet made by a ateez fan making false allegations and translated it as if it was real while knowing nothing about Spotify. Those same fans won’t show you the fact that their faves have like 2000 playlistings and are just bitter at NWJNs success so they have to cry fraud to downplay but they’re ok with paid ads on YouTube?

Wdym by colorful? Because I won’t really call mic drop and fake love colorful mvs. BTS YouTube videos that do well are those that have catchy tunes, not really about how colorful or cool the mv looks like.
Spring day imo has very vivid colours but it doesn’t have that high amount of views because it’s a ballad and BTS ballads always get the short sticks

colorful as in bright colors in the form of sets, outdoor locations etc
itzy, bp, bts mvs like icy, d4, dna etc
catchy tunes just makes u check out the song again, like its happening with newjeans.
to check out the mv again after the first time-either the mv has to be colorful or have hard hitting/catchy choreo (mic drop , fake love) or a combo of both.

No. Newjeans views are actually abysmal compared to their audio streams so this conclusion is wrong.
It’s the catchy tunes that make people check out the mvs too. The only reason why that isn’t happening for Newjeans is because their videos are hella long and have cuts at certain parts
Spring day still has colorful sets and beautiful outdoor locations. But it’s not getting a billion views because it’s a ballad.
Video views really has nothing to do with performances or colorful sets. If the song is catchy and the video is not ridiculously long, the views will rise
