I think in the end They are almost toe to toe but the hype with NJ is insane
but BAEMONs hype is spectacular too esp with the members currently. So Id say Baemon, IVE and NJ are going at it. The rest will also go in but they all can go well and be succcessful simultaneously.
2023 onwards is Girl Group Territory and its just going up from here. BAEMON have that international hold esp with SEA ( thailand and indonesia, philippines )

Korea is eat up every song of Newjeans. I think Newjeans is the most popular right now until they get tired of their music style. Their physical sales are also good. Let's wait for Baemon, you never know if YG's music is good too. I think YG is at a disadvantage, because they are late for the race, the expectation may be higher from Yg group.

competition begats competition - doesn't matter who it is
that is unfortunate but sadly it's not unique to kpop
the bigger companies have more resources/connections/better employees so people are going to give them more of a chance - they've "proved" themselves before in order to get that big and thus the Korean GP will generally at least give their group's songs a listen
I mean even outside of kpop I'm sure there are so many great indie performers and singers and soloists (just from Korea let alone the world) but I cannot listen to all of them and thus with my limited resources and time I can only give so many songs a try and brand awareness (of the group) is one reason why I would give them a listen
