WTF is Hybe even doing anymore? This is beyond comprehension

  • Well, whether it's a typo or not, it still doesn't make sense that The Astronaut's sales wasn't impacted by the December 2 shipping. Unlike Japan sales which increased The Astronaut sales by 200k, only 6k was added to its circle sales the past 3 weeks after said shipping

  • So we will not know how much Jin actually sold with Astronaut unless Hybe reports it cause WV US sales are not getting reflected on any chart.

    lol

i think it's more likely we'll see flying pigs than hybe correctly announcing jins/bts solos exact sales

they'll inform us when each of them will be a million sellers (since they'll be pretty much forced to)

but anything beyond that won't happen

I am waiting for their next quarterly report to understand how they will spin their "reducing" dependence on BTS as a group or as soloists seeing how their overall sales as soloists alone will easily be 7mn or more, not to mention the sales as a group that they generate just from back catalogue and the vinyls that will be sold in the coming year.

I expect their combined (group+solo) contribution in album sales in 2023 alone to reach 7-8 mn easily.

oppa jiwon is crying, sweating & throwing calculators

trying to find a way to make "7 succesful soloists that each sold 1M+ albums" sound like a bad thing lol

    Their quarterly reports be like:

This is our sales excluding BTS

HYBE will always find a way to reduce dependency on BTS while milking the fans.

  • I’m not surprised. After HYBE made the choice to not count sales of that overpriced Proof collectible album in any sales, I knew that HYBE is truly trying to downplay a group that is responsible for their literal existence. HYBE stans should realize now that BTS/BH/HYBE are not family and like any company they will take advantage of their employees (BTS) and throw them away when they feel like it. They only difference is that HYBE continues to be stupid by trying to destroy their golden goose but they are still lucky enough to have success with their GGroups. I strongly believe that after BTS became the biggest group in the world, YG or SM would not only have gotten BTS military exemption but they would be bigger than they are right now. Whatever I personally think of YG and SM, they are still a lot smarter about managing a career and reputation than HYBE will ever be.
