they got fired from The X-Factor after this (the biggest gig either ever had), got massive amounts of criticism that they didn't know how to deal with and took no ownership of what they said, rebranded into Cruel Youth, released not-so-to-semi-successful music for years, changed their names to Teddy and Willy Sinclair and now they're songwriters for others on top of making okayish music

they never lived down what they did tbh

I love that song and I think I've acknowledged both Teddy and Willy's talent in this thread more than enough. I just think it's interesting where life lead them. I love a good comeback and I don't think people, no matter how vile they were to that guy, should remain cancelled for life if they change and repent and become better to others. Also, no one can ever say they don't have talent.

Yes it was scripted but they were told to slam him, they weren't fed the exact lines, hence why the female judge got so upset. She went off-script because they did too. It was messy. Natalia/Teddy had rumors of problematic behavior before this as well, and literally nobody stuck by them, if anything, other things came out and they were easily cancellable since they weren't big stars to begin with and weren't exactly likeable.
