I think aegyo is pretty cringe and annoying because grown adults are acting like children like when I visited Korea a lady dropped her bag and started doing aegyo and having a temper tantrum and acting like a child and so many people were staring at her with lovey eyes like but I was just cringe
Who else thinks aegyo is kind of annoying

Not kind of.. Straight up actually.
-
yes.

.

To a certain extent.
-
yes

It's only fine when it's for the lulz or to make a member embarrassed by doing it.
-
Yeah but in Korea it's basically culture lmao. I prefer when idols are just naturally cute
-
It's super cringe, but a little here and there doesn't bother me. It's when the fans keep pushing for it.
Right but excessively is so weird and cringe
-
It can be sort of funny and adorable when an idol does it, but I find it is exaggerated a ton. I don't enjoy it at all to be honest.
-
-
I feel bad for them when they clearly don't want to do it.

like what rainbow said...
its part of the their culture...OP
if you don't like it that's fine but every culture has things which are cringyworthy
-
it's cringe but it's apart of their culture so I don't mind it too much. I only tolerate it when it's from a female idol who's naturally just cute
-
I do like stop your pushing 30
-
For people saying it's part of their culture
Then why I feel like the overwhelmingly majority of idols actually hate doing aegyo? If aegyo is so popular I guess most idols should enjoy doing it, right?
-
It's a thing in K-POP that honestly I can take it or leave it. When you can obviously tell the idol doesn't want to do but is forced I hate it. But if the idol does it cus they want to it's okay.
-
Different culture. Doesn't matter if it's cringe or not. It's super popular as well.
-
Aegyo, kawaii, it's something that's a part of Japanese and Korean culture, I don't mind it and sometimes even find it endearing and amusing.
I don't
wantneed Asian culture to be a cheap clone or imitation of American culture, I like the diversity and variety in cultures with all their differences. And as for fake and over-the-top mannerisms and behaviors, machismo and street swag is as fake and over-the-top as aegyo.
Personally, I prefer aegyo out of those over-the-top mannerisms.
