Starship may be a crappy company but I don't think the narrative totally holds about how no money is spent on their artists, especially Ive. Their dorms are really nice and spacious - nicer not only than most small and mid-tier companies, but even some from bigger labels too.
No one gets vacations in kpop so they're not alone there. I can think of several groups off the top of my head who talked about not going on vacations for several years if ever. Ive don't seem more overworked than any others in the industry, nor the other Starship groups unless I'm missing something here?

Ive only had two songs come out this year.
So did NMIXX, Billlie, Kep1er, GIDLE, Purple Kiss, Dreamcatcher, Le Sserafim and soon to be RV. And tbf a few of those also had non-single promo releases that they were still hyping up, like Kep1er and NMIXX. And that's not even counting the groups with Japanese promos and releases like Itzy or again RV.
i think IVE had also japanese release, but i don't know if they promoted it

And for music videos I agree low budget MVs are a bad idea because they make a poor first impression. But maybe they thought it was ok for WJSN because they're already established so they thought it doesn't matter
