Yes they got a ruling in their favor but that doesn't usually happen.
I think the difference is also that somu fired the gf members vs beast and infinite that left by their own.

but infinite hasnt disbanded and apparently can still make music together as a group unless that suddenly changed...straight bullshit...maybe thats why they havent done anything as a whole group in the past 2 years.

Beast went through an entire lawsuit with cube and in the end had to change to highlight. Cube was even gonna try to relaunch beast with the only remaining member, hyungseung still in cube. Apparently he had no idea and said nope.
I'm pretty sure it's if every single member leaves the company they are legally entitled to the group name? Basing this on T-Ara. The member thing was probably Beast's problem as Hyunseung stayed in Cube. So while Infinite is forced to file a lawsuit, they should get their name and songs in the end. Not sure why Woolim is even bothering with the trademark but I guess they're just hoping none of the members take legal action

Source Music tried to trademark the name "Gfriend" after the group disbanded but failed due to the name Gfriend having "celebrity status" and the group not being signed under the company .
Cube were entitled to keep the Beast name trademark due to members being signed under the Contract despite others leaving.
What it boils down to is that Infinite members need to go through the legal process of claiming the trademark
