I always thought Nuest Ren will go viral for his visuals at some point but he didn't

he was ridiculed for looking feminine instead of going viral, even though he changed his appearance up he still didnt' go very viral but that boy looked like a porcelain doll during face era, he is STUNNING.

I think he's doing solo work and more shows, i haven't really been paying attention. I know Baekho is releasing a solo which baekho's vocals are top tier to me, I hope JR is doing more acting because his role in let me be your knight was SO GOOD OMFG. Idk what Minhyun is doing or anyone else. But I would love for Ren to release some solo music.
If you find out what he's doing tag me lol

he looks better when he is styled as kind of dark prince rather than female student
he was NEVER styled as a female he has feminine features...and everything they did he looked stunning in
He willingly styled himself as a female for his musicals because HE wanted to. But he never intentionally wanted people to think he was a woman. He hated that shit.

Wasn't he actually super popular at debut? The most popular out of the group. He was the most popular member pre-Broduce and then Mnet gave him a lame edit and he seems to have lost a lot of confidence at that time. He went from being the only semi-popular member of the group to being Aron-level, who was the least popular after his scandal.
Ren's always been my bias so it's been hard to see him lose his confidence after they made him change his image, then after Broduce. It feels like he's still searching for himself sometimes.

He was my first ever bias in a KPop-group even tho I listend to Korean music for 2 years before NU'EST debuted
I remember how rude people acted about him at the time as NU'EST had debuted. Many people asked why a girl was in a boygroup and made weird coments towards him. Some people even asumed stuff like he probably would be gay and stuff. I remember around 2014 as he had a photoshoot, since he works as model too, he wore a skirt in some pictures and people made weird commands towards him just for apearing in a skirt. Later on Ren openly said he would suport LGBTQ and that made people spreed random rumors like "that guy is for sure bi-sexual". Ren never openly said anything about his own sexuality but people constantly claimed he had outed himself as bi and he did not.
As NU'EST started to decline in popularity and later on SEVENTEEN debuted people than constantly compared Ren with Jeonghan since they look similiar and had both long hair. I also remember how fans found it quit weird as it came out that Ren and Jeonghan had a nosejob at the same time back than. It was never revealed why Jeonghan did that but it was said that Ren mentioned he wasn't quit liking it anymore how people constantly thought his nose would make him look girly. He was like he sure likes being childish and goofing around with his member but hates how apparently K-netz decided that this behavier plus how his face looks like made him girly and this was apparently one reason where he decided to get his nose done. (And international fans blamed it on Pledis since Jeonghan had his nose done around the same time too)
Around the time as NU'EST had an MV where Ren had cut his long hair off and was even shirtless, I remember that people were quit in shook and were super surpriced about his apearance but after that it went very downhill with NU'EST since Pledis started to give no shit about the group anymore. Lesser promotions, lesser apearances on TV shows, than the weird decission to let them release Japanese songs with almost zero promotions and at that time they introduced a I think it was Chinese guy to the group who than dissapeared quickly again and people wondered for some time where that guy went...
And well if you suck in menaging a group, there is hardly a chance to get people to check out someone.
Later on as NU'EST apeard on Produce I remember that many people just got hate towards Pledis and didn't felt to get into NU'EST since I often just found coments like "Arn't they those dudes who cried on Produce?" and "Why were they even on the show when they allready debuted?" etc. since back than people asumed Produce was ment to just show company trainees. After some time JR broke down in the show expressing how hard it is for him as a leader when he can't do anything. He expressed how he felt unable to ask for things inside of Pledis. He wanted to produce music and release songs but he was often ignored or hold back. This is also something the other member said was one issue for them. Baekho for example produced a lot stuff and he could've been something way bigger if Pledis wouldn't had limited his work. NU'EST wanted to release more music but often times wasn't feeling to ask since they knew they most likly will get told no. And I remember how they even expressed that they felt quit bad that Pledis gave more towards SEVENTEEN instead of caring for their other artists.
NU'EST just slightly made out of their horrible issue as a group. They said if they hadn't apeard on Produce, they most likly would've disbanded after their 5th anniversary allready since their contracts were running out and they saw no way that Pledis would've renewd them if there wasn't the pressure from the public after going on TV.
Most people in Korea even said they didn't even knew that NU'EST exists as they saw them on Produce, wich sounds surreal to me since FACE was the most viewed debut MV of a Korean artist before WANNA ONE had their debut.
Later as Minhyun than debuted with WANNA ONE people slowly got into NU'EST but I remember that there were quit a few people who gave no fucks about them since all they cared about was WANNA ONE. At that time people were also obsessed with Kang Daniel in Korea, even to one point that other celebs declined in fame and started to not really like Daniel (One example is a clip on the Dingo-youtube shortly after this channel was new to Youtube where Seungri went to a fangirl and said "If I go to your room and find evidence that you like Kang Daniel, than I'm mad!" I know some people were joking, but there was constantly some random news and talk about Daniel left and right).
People at that time for sure started to listen more to NU'EST but the main focus was Minhyun as one of the most popular member in WANNA ONE and really the name of WANNA ONE was like a trademark that people use for bragging around like when you tell someone you bought NIKE or Gucci, because most people had the "WANNA ONE first, every other KPop act second and NU'EST maybe later" just cause WANNA ONE was the hottest shit in 2017. And as soon WANNA ONE disbanded and Minhyun wasn't a member anymore people let him fall down as if they never stanned or liked him before
And after that the "sales over quality" area begun where KPop stans started to complain about sold CDs all the time and were acting lie if 300K sold CDs from NU'EST was "too low" just cause SEVENTEEN sold more and there were stupid coments like "But NU'EST are the sunbaenim of SEVENTEEN, the older brother, the senior group, why do they don't sell more CDs than SEVENTEEN than? Pledis should've just disbanded NU'EST, they are such a waste for the company" blah blah
And than people totally gave up after HYBE took over Pledis and Pledis started to care less about NU'EST again.
Also there was this mentality in Pledis that people constantly said "Pledis is the SEVENTEEN-company" and "Pldis, thats SEVENTEEN, right?" and if you brought up former acts of Pledis or NU'EST some people acted up like " Oh ?!? But anyways, lets' not get off from talking about SEVENTEEN"
It really broke my heart knowing how the boys used to be treated from Pledis.
On a private note, outside of being idols, the member had a lot problems too, because Pledis left these 5 dudes in a tiny loft-style apartment with no bedroom. There was a clip where they showed their apartment on TV and it broke my heart. 3 of the member slept on the floor in front of their kitchen-counter ... As I heard they got an apartment with 2 or 3 bedrooms Ren commented how happy he was to finally sleep in a real bed after almost 10 years and that broke my heart.
I was super pissed as NU'EST disbanded. The boys were super exited about their 10th anniversary, said they planed so much for the fans, but all Pledis gave them was to disband on the day where they had debuted
