but don't you find it sad tho?
isn't it basically like he is saying that HYBE as company could try again with different people/group
but for those girls it's last chance, it's like being with them on the cliff, and sayin well even if you die here, for us life just goes on

It is sad but it’s true. For Hybe they have enough money to just try again if it’s not working out. Sure they would loose out and probably they did with all the scrapped storyline content for the first album. The people who put most on the line are the girls.

i mean... he's just stating a fact. its like that for all companies. they let their old groups fade when they're not as profitable and move all their resources to the new group. the industry knows what they're doing when they damn near force older groups to disband

like others have said
it's kpop - for hybe it's a business first and foremost and in a business the goal is to make profit and a group isn't profitable then well like most businesses and products - time to get rid of the product and go back to the drawing board

Yes, that is sad, and it's true for every group, even the ones people don't like. Which is why I find it baffling that people become antis and want to tear someone's dreams and livelihood down.

just like how most business works
unless the employee could become bigger than the company and become irreplaceable

Of course it's sad, but employees just being a number for companies isn't isolated occurrence in any industry, though depending on the industry, it may or may not be as devastating. Even in KPOP, life is not exactly over for them, but it goes without saying that that there is much more emphasis on youth in an entertainment sphere like KPOP than in other fields.

And... it makes me wonder about just how many trainees that had the potential but failed to debut...
like maybe they had the visual, but they really sucks on dance and singing and don't had any improvement...
or the other way,or they had both but their physique/health just can't support the heavy activity of kpop idols...

from that perspective the entire training period seems like an extended job interview...which in some respects it is as the company weeds out the ones that "can't handle it" or isn't gaining progress fast enough, don't fit the debut group concept etc etc

yeah, the trial/probation period. But it's waayyyy longer than the other industry.

I would compare this to football/soccer club
if you think of it let's say that
YG = Manchester United
and their trainees are like young players in academy
but actually not many of them will make debut in first team
:)
