Why no one question the unnatural number that IVE is getting?

Getting over 600k for a girl group is impossible nowadays especially if the song didn't went viral like Rollin, if you are not as popular as IU or BTS ,or not variety show music. Getting 600k uls on Melon seems to a little bit sus to me.

2. physical.

We all know that they will get 1M sales this comeback, but no one see it coming that they are getting 1M in Hanteo as well and what make it more sus is how they are still gaining more than 10k everyday in Hanteo. Especially with the ugly design of the album.

3. global chart.

For me, it look very sus to me how a non-big 4 company pull this out. You know how most international kpop gp only care about BTS and Blackpink or group coming from big4. It is non-sense to me how IVE who is not coming from big4 pull this big number when Itzy who is obviously the top group international can't pull this number.

4. company.

We know starshit have an history or doing this thing

so what do you think? I don't think good music have anything to do with it. At the end of the day, if you are not popular, you can't pull big number even if the music is good.

numbers on kpop gg are rising, in general. Popular Groups will have bigger numbers

Ive is doing great, and teens make big numbers when they stan, and Ive is definetly a group follow by teens

2. they have hardcore korea, china and japan fanbases so this is not really unexpected

3. playlists, 4th gen gg stans love them. i've seen blinks supporting them the most too. thai and japanese members helped with the streams in those countries that boost their global stream by a lot too.

4. kakao literally own melon, even if it's not fraud, they would help promoting them a lot (like search rankings, visibility on homepage etc)

IVE are the leaders of 4th gen right now their success makes sense you're just salty af

1. kchart don't chart with popular. they chart with "new shiny thing" like a redditor said. IVE is one of the most trendy and popular group in S.K right now so I'm definitely not surprised.

2. It looks like their Gaon/Hanteo ratio is pretty low compare to other group. They sold 900k on hanteo on the first day, but they only sold 1.08M on Gaon. therefore, that may be the reason. Most of it coming from hanteo affiliated store. However, they sold 1M just like most people expected.

3. If I'm being honest with you. I am pretty shocked with their performance since their debut song, Eleven on global chart. However, you see that IVE's number is going up each comeback. This is organic growth.

4. I don't think have money to manipulate Spotify so this is just bullshit statement.

There's nothing to question because they showed exponential growth and charted high in all sorts of charts, korean and international.

It would only be questionable if they didn't show growth and only charted high in one chart and nowhere to be seen on others.

I cant believe Im having to explain the obvious.

In the case of IVE it feels like all the metrics are matching and in proportion. I don't think it's at all realistic that you would somehow rig every chart in Korea + global charts a the same time. The sales growth also seems pretty reasonable from release to release.

The 620k UL peak seems reasonable considering it is:

1. The follow up to Love Dive which was an absolutely insane mega hit - the LD peak is misleadingly low due to Big Bang. This song got RAK 2.5 months after release - that is beyond insane.

2. Super GP friendly and catchy song

3. Yujin trending everywhere for a little extra boost

All this just sounds like the whining of a big 4 fan who thinks the universe revolves around them and can't possible fathom anyone but their faves being successful because big 4 are elite or whatever delusion.

IVE's numbers make sense. It show both growth and matching numbers on charts.

Nj is questionable for a number of reasons but mostly (imo) that they only did well on spotify and nowhere else internationally. It doesnt make sense. and Hybe buying Lesserafim's win in a music show made rveryone very sus of anything about the company - its the company's own fault for taking obvious inorganic steps for their ggs.

But you proved user's point - you ARE in fact a big 4 (Hybe) stan that is mad because Ive numbers make sense and are hard to downplay.

You know the Earth Arcade. Yujin works as the regular cast of this show, and PD is one of the most popular PD in Korea. one show is enough for the promotion and also got two hit song momentum.

BTS and IU level popularity is necessary for hit songs and 600k ULS. I think that is a bullshit statement.

Alone china fanbase gets almost 300k for IVE. china's fanbase for every group has reputation for the bulk bye.

and in Spotify they have some medium-level playlists and east Asia, southeast Asia have solid fan bases and irregular audiences.

If it was only IVE that's rising in ULs, then maybe there is some room for doubt.

But when NJ and Blackpink are also posting high ULs, then it is not 'unnatural'.

In any case they are not at IU and Bigbang levels. Even BTS is not that level, when it comes to ULs.
