I remember before I knew anything about him, I thought he made the telephone and got him mixed up with Alexander Graham Bell
And you're probably wondering "why were you wondering about a founding father when you were a smol bean?"
Well, I was watching the one classic Spongebob movie and there was "Alexander Clam Bell" with a clam in a hat and a telephone by it. And then I heard "Alexander Hamilton", I thought that was what it was referring to so here I was thinking that A.H. created the telephone 🤣

But I remember I was working there and there were always a few people who would pay with a $100 bill and order a less than $20 meal...it was always sort of annoying to have a manager go pull money from the back or the other cash registers because the one I was at didn't have enough for change.

fr as a fellow cashier sometimes we have to just straight up deny them bc it was first thing int he morning and we had like absolutely no change to exchange all that like dfkhjsjdhf

That reminds me, I went to a smoothie bowl shop today and they had in front of the cash register "please no bills more than $50" I don't blame them, I bet they got tired of breaking in $50+ bills.
We didn't have that rule at Wendy's so my managers would even be slightly annoyed at that. Like we have to call managers over when we need special manager access. If someone pays a $50 or $100 bill, the manager will have to check if it's legit, put it in the dropbox, approve the payment and then we had to give them the remaining change and sometimes it required pulling money from other cash registers...
And thank God that most cash registers nowadays are digital. I can't imagine having to calculate the change owed every time. At Wendy's cash registers, you would just put in the amount they gave you if they paid in cash and it tells you how much change to give back to them.

right especially early 2020 w/ the change shortage we really had to be on it about exact changes and some customers would just refuse to understand like
my guy, we cannot break this $100 we can not pull this money out of thin air ksdjfsdkj.
yes abt the digital! so glad bc i am so bad at counting on top my head i hate it when customers tell u AFTER u typed everything in, change drawer open and they're like "oh, i have exact change" :) so you have to figure out what to give them back but its so confusing to what they gave u already + subtracting + way more complicated than need be
my brother in christ, for i can not count.so glad i dont cashier often any more, that life aint for me
