Changed the title of the thread from “While other groups release digipacks, Big Hit release a more expensive version of an already expensive BTS album” to “While other groups release digipacks, Big Hit releases a more expensive version of an already expensive BTS album”. -
Collection album sounds right for an artist who is closing their first chapter and has a legacy like BTS tbvh but it would have been nice if std version wasn’t alr so exp but then again it had so much physical contents inside. Would have been nice if we had additional 1/2 versions of compact album.
With all that said, I was too broke to purchase the std version so I won’t be purchasing the collection box too. I’m very content with the compact album I bought.

The way Hybe picks and chooses to care about the environment.
Let’s see if their ceo continues to stay stubborn and not release any physical albums for others solo to protect the environment or he changes his mind after hearing the negative feedback

They should do it for all their artist if they really want to do a difference then. Sabotaging Hobi's debut is not going to save the environment if the other artist in their label released more than 2 versions of physical albums every comeback. Not to mention that horrendous shipping they imposed on his "physical album" which was more expensive that the photocards they were delivering. Honestly Hybe, STOP!! WHAT IF they continue this "strategy" for the other members' FUTURE release?!?

HYBE making sure that revenue will reflect in their 3rd & 4th quarter's earnings 😂
But of course, BTS is in a league of their own. NO kpop groups or ANY acts nowadays who can sell like BTS with 1 version & expensive at that. They literally sold 3M albums with BE Deluxe (1 version & with 36 USD - 50 USD pricetag).

Does this secure that 1 on IFPI?
They are already secured at the #1 spot 😉 They are consistently pulling high streaming numbers in every platforms be it Spotify or YT. Still smashing in Japan (which have a great impact in numbers) with the help of their hit singles and they are undefeated in Physical sales which weighed more in units. They are definitely moving 15M - 18M units this year.

This will only happen to rap line and maybe Jin. Maknae line solo stans are way too reactionary to let them do this, they would burn down hybe by smear campaign alone.
