Music always can feel better when the artist puts a bit of themselves into the music, but it all depends on the creativity of the artist and if s/he is working with someone who can help express it in a way that sounds appealing in song.

I disagree with the title because I don't like a lot of self written or self produced songs. It always depends on the song regardless if written/composed/produced by idols themselves or have professionals do it.
