Is it weird that I got teary eyed during SNSD’s performance today?

Especially because it’s such a happy, celebratory song.

Meanwhile, I started almost bawling my eyes out towards the end of the perf.

I feel like I have somewhat grown up with SNSD. They are one of the first Kpop groups I’ve ever listened to back in 2010ish when I was a literally 13-14 years old.

Seeing them perform again, the enthusiasm from the crowd and the fan chants made me really emotional.

I love my soshi unnies, please perform Closer one day.

Nah I got emotional too. They’re my ult group who I thought was never returning as a music group and here we are.

They all look so happy and energetic (though some fan accounts do mention some girls like taeyeon looked tired in between recordings). And their visuals? My god. They probably have never looked as good. Aged like fine wine.

But the MVP were Sones. even thought they were nerfed by using LS that fan chant was loud af. No wonder the girls had constant smiles through.

How wonderful. I can imagine that must have been a very cathartic experience for them.
