So idols are supposed to give snack, lunch, gift sets and fancy dinner coupons to fans at IAC?

Everything's a competition in Kpop lol.
But it's not idols or labels fault, it's the morons at MBC that have these bizarro rules about food and attendance.

But why do idols have to pay for the food after the event too?

Canceled
But yeah
People get like a bento box, some snacks, some skin care samples, special photocards and coupons to go out to dinner afterwards
Now everyone comparing stuff on Twitter
Honestly, I would be for that, but it would be worth it.
Aw, that's so sweet of the companies to do.
Do, Twitter people ever stop and think that everyone's tastes are different? Some companies may have got some foods because they figured a lot of people would like it, but they just happened to not.
-
There is a lunch measuring contest going on because the way they organised the event. I find it ridiculous. It makes more noise then the contest itself.

-
Stuff like this reminds me why I hate Twitter so much. Also, yes, agreed.

This is my first time hearing about it, and I just have no more words.

Honestly the food comparing started with Knetz. Like there is an article about a person comparing all the different lunch boxes?

I kinda crave omurice now bc of them
-
I don’t know the other fans but the Ateez fans are pissed because they literally got tons of stuff but pannchoa decided to translate an article picking on the $6 Omurice coupon what is an inside joke in the fandom.

There are some people just there to get polaroids to resell and yet will complain about any parts of the experience being less than perfect. I can't imagine being the staff having to deal with that kind of folk

Literally 2nd gen idols confirmed this
I low-key think that's the reason idols want to go to
It really is.
Wait, they did? Okay, that makes more sense then!
If it's true, I would not be surprised if it is.

what the fuck
And now people compare snacks and have fanwars over it
Lmao
Why do companies even send the idols there? To get injured and bashed if the lunch is bad?
Yes, and companies do that for 2 reasons,
1. For groups which are yet to make a mark, it gives a rare opportunity to be on broadcast and maybe luck will strike one of them and make them go viral.
2. For groups who already have established a presence, ISAC has become a sort of tradition of Kpop, like the annual ancestral rites or chuseok. So they come around and do a bit of fan service.
Of course it comes with the risk of injuries and idiocies like fanwars over the quality of snacks. But then that is a typical of K-pop.
As the Gaon-Circle guy said, while the abuse of idols by agencies has been decently regulated, the abuse by broadcasters has hardly been addressed. They treat unknown groups disrespectfully, or sometimes even the known groups.
In Korean hierarchy of entertainment, idols don't rank well.

I should stan so I get steak dinners too.
-
well then you'd probably get cancelled faster than the speed of light!!!! lol
-
I think it's just PR
I mean fans having fanwars over the food is comical but also not surprising as they go to war for anything..
I think the fans that take the time to go to ISAC are dedicated so the groups want to make the fans happy correct???
it's like in business you do promotions and giveaways and sometimes rewards for your most loyal fans no?
-
well then you'd probably get cancelled faster than the speed of light!!!! lol
I probably would be to be honest.
