Europeans, how bad is the heat wave where you live?

In Finland it is so cold here I can not go out without a jacket. It was 9 Celsius in the morning once I was going to work. During the day it is around 15 Celsius. It has been raining for like 2 weeks row. We only got one-week proper summer weather that was between 25 - 30 Celsius.

The 40C you lot are experiencing now is nothing like our summers in Oz. It's just a regular summer's day for us with fires that rage for months. It's so hot, you just stay indoors until the sun goes down.

2nd wave started yesterday, it took some time for hell to get here. it was 32 at 9pm and now at 1 am it's 25.

today was 36 and real feel 39. tomorrow will be 38 and real feel will be easily 42

ac help, almost everyone here has it. we started installing them in the early 2000s. we got ours in 2005. new buildings have ac included by default

worst is when the fan started blowing hot air

I live in Malaysia so am used to hot weather (30-38C). But I remember when I was studying in the UK, I used to dislike the summer because even though it was not that hot (probably 25-28C), the air felt dry, and usually there’s no wind. It was stifling. So I can’t imagine there being 40C.. it must be like hell
