| Story Writing | The Way He Smiles The sky is grey and the rain is pouring down outside of school. Michael is sitting in the classroom, doodling cats with mustaches on a piece of paper. He remembers when he used to draw those mustache cats a lot as a kid. He even named one of the cats Mustachio once. He wonders where Isabell is. Yesterday, she told him that she was going to confess her feelings for Aaron. He looks at Aaron, who is sitting and listening to something on his headphones. Aaron smiles at him. He doesn't understand why she has a crush on that guy. She has once told him how she likes his chocolate brown hair, but for Michael, it reminds him more of mud than chocolate. She told him that she likes his laugher, while he thinks he sounds like a choking parrot when he laughs. He once saw Aaron was picking his nose once in class. And he also doesn't like the way that dirt-haired booger-picker smiles at him. Then Isabell arrives in the classroom, while holding a pink umbrella. She smiles and waves to her friend. Michael waves back. She walks towards Aaron's seat. Aaron looks at her, taking of his headphones. "What do you want?" he asks. "Uhm..." she says nervously. "There is something that... I would like to tell you." "So?" "I..." she fidgets with her fingers. "I have a crush on you." Aaron looks at her with a surprised face expression. "Sorry," he responds. "but I actually have feelings for someone else." Her eyes widen in surprise. Michael is surprised too, but relieved that she isn't going to go out with that dirt hair. "So..." she asks heartbroken. "Who is that person, you have feelings for?" Then Aaron smiles to him again. "I like Michael." he says. Michael looks at him surprised. "Do you like me back, Michael?" he asks. Michael blushes. "No, I don't." "Alright then." Aaron responds with a smile, which looks sadder than his usual one, before he puts on his headphones again. Michael's heart starts fluttering while he decides to draw a heart above one of the mustache cats. Inside the heart, he has written "Aaron". A smile appears on Michael's face. |
