If weirdo losers didn't believe that chart placement or stream totals = success and quality then we wouldn't be here in the first place.
This is what kpop fans wanted and now if it benefits their faves then it's fine, but if it doesn't benefit their faves then it's not fair.
Literally no one cares except the people who actually work at these companies and depend on sales metrics and performance to get paid.

You were talking about international sales, not mass buying. Americans can also mass buy on Billboard.
Formis was able to get more downloads than naeyeon? Wait tbh that’s still impressive lol. Because it’s not like twice has a small fandom or unknown in korea.
This would be weird if the other party was purely GP like some OST or solo digimon. Or if it was BG Vs GG and fandom difference is large.

My point was cheating the system somehow, Billboard counts purchases more than 4 as 1, so afaik you can't mass buy on Billboard. Maybe there's a loophole on Billboard as well but I never heard of it 
Anyways, I'm not sure how this "mass downloading" controversey works, but wouldn't Twice's fanbase be larger than fromis_9's anyways to "mass download" more?
Like I would think if there is a way to "cheat the system" both fandoms would know about it and the larger fandom would actually be able to "cheat better"
It's already 2022 and I'm surprised all of those are still a controversy.
