a huge crowd that stans kpop BGs are extremely fond of these infantile personalities and simply will not look at anything

even when a popular BG does a sexy concept they say "oh our baby has grown up"

so yeah sexy concepts dont get big because the audience for BGs does not WANT sexiness

they want to baby their idols forever
