Being co-ed means that the gp won't give a shit.
It's okay though. Their comeback is great, and they've about quintupled their sales! Huge improvement
U know ring the alarm isn't even their best imo
I love gunshot & dumb litty the most
frr, they should've blew up with this comeback
The general public tends to dislike co-ed groups. With boy groups, they can romantically market them towards teen girls. With girl groups, they can romantically market them towards teen boys. With co-ed groups, they have to simultaneously market it to both groups of people, but that walks a very fine line and is hard to pull off. Besides, sometimes people only pay attention to big groups, and co-ed groups are almost never big due to the issue I just mentioned. Hence, they get stuck in a cycle of being on the smaller side of the popularity spectrum (not to say they don't or can't increase in popularity, they do).

These days that may be true, but coed groups were fairly popular during the 1990s/2000s.
I'm talking about artists such as Koyote, Cool, Sharp, and Roo'ra.
And even in more recent times, Trouble Maker and Akmu have done decently well.

Yeah I know. That's not the current landscape now...
Trouble Maker is a bit old by now. It's been roughly a decade since Chemistry...
As for Akmu... they are interesting. They are siblings for one, so that takes the edge off the "romantic marketing" aspect. I do feel that for some seeing boys with girls in an idol group isn't appealing and doesn't fit with the fantasy of imagining yourself being close to the opposite gender. So that can make it harder for co-ed idol groups. But Suhyun and Chanhyuk being siblings negates any negative appeal in seeing them interact together. Additionally, AKMU to me isn't really an idol group in the way they present themselves and the music they make. So I think of them as an exception/outlier because of these factors.
