I see those who underestimate him were all )solo stan and of course antis.
They often use "privilege" card, like when My Universe released, solo stan complaint about he got the most lines, turns out it was Chris Martin assign him to sing a lot of lines.
Also when Charlie Puth x JK collab revealed, they said it was because he was privileged (again) , but then Charlie said its him reaching out to JK because he always love his voice.

How? Instagram followers and likes?
No, Google and naver trends. Instagram basically tells your who's the most popular member of the group but popularity and success aren't the same thing, those following him don't stream his music. Fandom does and this fandom doesn't stream his music. I hope he promotes himself better and gain a big audience before debuting.

Wdym? He has the most collab with foreign acts. His solo songs are at the top. V has 1.5 with CT while he had 4.5. Success is guaranteed.

Are you kidding me? He is the most anticipated solo act from bts members. How did you come to conclusion of people *underestimating* him when it's entirely opposite of that. He is the most loved BTS members even from nonjk biased army. Hyungline stans love him and Makne line love him for the ships. He benefits from them all and if anyone it's him who has got the most fandom support. Few twitter bitter army won't change that. He doesn't have to do much, just do as the company says and he will continue having army support throughout his career.
