A lot of men showing up in korean plastic surgery clinics requesting to look like Stray Kids Hyunjin. Isn't it odd?

I mean, Hyunjin is a popular idol whose visuals are admired, so I suppose in a country where plastic surgery is very normalized and even encouraged, it makes sense.

I couldn't imagine getting ps, but yeah, for people who want it, I get it...

Yeah. I think like, I don't know, in Korea, it's fine to suggest getting surgery to others from what I heard, and like... I wouldn't like that. I mean like, growing up sure I had parents and relatives that would criticize my appearance and fashion choices, whatever. That was one thing, but if they told me that I needed treatment to fix my nose or something... yeah that would've stressed me out more.

But anyways, I suppose in a general sense throughout history we do imitate celebrities from their clothes, to whatever makeup and skin products they use, etc. Surgery can be an extension of this and it takes it to the next level I think...

Hyunjin's face and small head is very in line with korean standards.

But it's sad that people there have the need to change their face to feel and be accepted in society and even have more chances to thrive in life.

i feel nothing but pity for people who hate themselves so much they disown their own body they inherited from their mother, the thing that keeps them alive and functioning and makes them unique

what is a questionable feature dont do that to yourself besides korea is known to have a culture that is extremely focused on looks... its insane how normalised discussion about plastic surgery is there tbh and iirc they were one of the countries with the highest number of plastic surgery per capita
