I think without BTS most people in the west wouldn't even be aware of kpop.

Kpop has always been a niche genre with successful groups within the niche. The niche is bigger with more people but it’s still a niche.

Perhaps for a little while but as the saying goes Life goes on.

I think it depends on if most K-Pop consumers are more BTS (i.e. group) or scene focused.
