they exaggerate their achievements and their importance in the acting industry. i don't think they're that prominent in the acting industry. the members are not good tbh and i know they've been criticized by knetz. i've watched a ton of kdramas/movies and i think an idol actor that is good recently would be junho from 2PM. happy he got a best actor award.

meh they are still the most successful in their acting careers compared to other groups.

Because if you're talking about "importance" and prominence in the acting industry, there is only a handful of actors that are really at that level, and 99% of "real" actors aren't even that, let alone idol actors.
SNSD's actresses have been casted as main roles in a lot of projects and featured in many successful and popular films or dramas. Yoona's films have been hit after hit with Exit and Miracle, Sooyoung was in popular dramas like Squad 38 and Run On, Seohyun in Moon Lovers in 2016 and Love and Leashes recently, both been popular internationally, etc.
How many idol groups have a track record like that? It's rare for a group to even have multiple members being able to lead their dramas, let alone SNSD that has four members that can do that. Most groups would have one member and others doing support roles, and SNSD actually has a track record of featuring in popular projects.

true. only yoona has been a successful actress since her debut. yuri only had one hit drama in her entire career even tho shes been acting since forever. sooyoung can't act, all her projects flopped. seohyun only started getting good roles after private lives even tho that flopped too. sones don't just overrate their acting careers, lets not act like seohyun, yuri and tiffany's solo didn't flop too.

It's because kpop fans desperately need anything their faves do to matter because it then means that they are also successful by association. It's what kpop fans do.

cause musically most of them flop

Father Time spares no one. SNSD had their time, and their time is over. The only one left standing is Taeyeon, the last man standing, battle scarred and war weary with the hopes of an entire SONE nation resting on her shoulders.
It's now time for the Fourth Age of Kpop to spread its wings.
Yena, Eunbi, Minju, Hyewon, Wonyoung, Yujin, Sakura, Chaewon. Get used to these names, they will be carrying on the legacy of SNSD. There will come a time when the name "Yuri" will be synonymous with Izone's Jo Yuri, not the SNSD Yuri of "Yu-ri-ah" fame.

You can tell who the new to kpop people are when they bring up shit like this.
Anyone can become an actor/actress but the key is longevity and continued projects. How many idols turned actors excluding SNSD have long careers with lots of jobs. Most idols get a few shots but due to low ratings, criticism or scandals or whatever they don’t last long. IU, Suzy, DO, Junho, Siwon …. Maybe a a couple more but the gist is there’s VERY few of them still going strong. And the the key thing is there’s only 1 or 2 members max per group even from a large group.
Now look at SNSD. Yoona has been acting since beginning and has 2 hit movies, Yuri got the biggest ever ratings on MBN channel, Sooyoung gets stable dramas though nothing major and Seohyun regularly gets Netflix dramas and movies. All have won various acting awards and often praised for their acting and/or improvements. That’s 4 members of the same group regularly in work longer than most idols have been around (seohyun is most recent started acting in 2015 so that’s 7 years) with Tiffany also getting her acting debut soon. Literally no other group comes close to that level of success. And op waving it off as nothing special.

People really need to differentiate between acting talent/skill and acting success.
There are many American actors/actresses who've never won an Oscar - and of whom people never expect them to - but that are still wellknown and that have huge success in action movies or other type of movies. You don't have to be a multiple Oscar winner to be successful with your acting career.
As for the SNSD members that went into acting, they're doing alright?
I saw that Seohyun was female lead in a recent Netflix film (good for her, after SM cockblocked her lead roles in Train to Busan and Architecture 101), has some upcoming movie and tv projects and was nominated for some awards, Yoona was female lead in the successful movie Exit, she has several upcoming movie and tv projects, and she was nominated and won several acting awards herself.
Overall, all four SNSD members that went into acting seem to be busy enough with acting jobs, either in movies or tv series.
