Is blackpink the only group with each member with successful solo careers?

    They deserve credit for their huge fanbase and all the social numbers, but their careers hardly have anything substantial. They only have debut songs, and Jennie's SOLO was the only song that is widely recognised by the public. Jisoo's drama was underwhelming and was known for all the wrong reasons, Rose and Lisa's songs were far from memorable.

    If Lisa and Rosé solo flopped then all GG and BG excepted BTS flopped in 2k21.

    I'm not convinced Blackpink members will really have successful longterm solo careers, without the lift they're getting from their group's current megasuccess, YG's massively effective (and highly underrated) promo juggernauth machine, and Teddy's songwriting and producing.

    We'll see if 1 or more of those contributing factors will fall away, what remains of their careers.


    So far, it doesn't seem they're particularly invested and passionate about their careers, and seem to be in it for the easy success and popularity so they can parade around claiming to be 'musicians' and 'artists' as the rich girls with the entitled, privileged that they are and that their upbringing provided them. But they don't seem that serious about their career at all.

    What do you count as successful solo careers? Like charting, sales, fans? What is 'success' defined as for you? And a solo career in what? If it was musically, I don't think so? They sells and chart really well, but the way they drop their solo is like a one hit wonder, if that make sense? You hear it once, and that's about it. If their career is fashion, then I think they're pretty successful in that aspect, and I mean in terms of getting their names out there and be noticeable. Because if their career is fashion, I hadn't read anything regarding them opening a fashion shop/ create something i.e like Jessica (even if failed), or anything remarkable besides attending shows. Although, they have alot of brand deals and ambassador.


    Like a really unbiased opinion about them, they're great girls, funny and talented, but for individual as an artist or entertainer, I don't see anything remarkable. I think they are too comfortable of where they are and does not want to change. Having to do so little, but gain so much, carried by their the fans. BlackPink individual members is so popular, huge, and an icon that I refused to believe they did not negotiate with YGe to have more comebacks if they really wanted to. Their individual IG followers are more than most groups COMBINED, so I failed to believe that they cannot negotiate with that much power, unless they wanted it this way. They could always write their own song or produce, unless they are too complacent of where they are.


    I think Mamamoo have been really really successful with their solo careers. Each members doing their own thing and is still releasing music every few months. For a musician or artist or even fans, I think that's really great. I think SNSD is also great, each member has their own longevity; dramas, variety show, or OSTs, although not releasing more songs, but they focused on a career path that they liked.
