Is IVE next after BP and Twice in terms of global digitals?

  • Doesn't work like that.

K-pop has seen increasing numbers in both album sales and digitals with every passing year, where before 100-200k album sales and 5M monthly listeners were a threshold only 2-3 girl groups could pass barely 2 years ago, now lots of groups are achieving more.

Only when groups like Itzy and Aespa have their comeback, we'll learn what's the new standard for the top 4th gen groups has become in 2022 => since for those groups we can compare with their sales and digitals results from former years.

Bullshit. The difference of aespa (Savage) and Itzy's (Loco) comeback to IVE's debut (Eleven) was only 2-3 months. Kpop have not grown that much in this short period.

All you said is just an excuse. Kpop is always growing so don't come with this bs.

Stats speak for itself. Ive already surpassed Twice in some global charts. Like I said only BTS and Blackpink are currently a wall for them.

Let other ggs do the same, then they will be part of the conversation. Stop downplaying IVE. If they were from big4 there wouldn't be any excuses.

This. If anyone follow charts and sale will notice and form a similar opinion to this.

This year is the year where everyone have massive improvement from physical and spotify numbers. We have seen Stray kids, TxT, IVE, Red Velvet double their sale from previous releases. NMIXX reached almost 500k and Lesserafim not far behind. We also seen most groups have significant improvement with their spotify streams. Even NMIXX song was doing decent with streams on spotify despite how divisive their song was.

I believe this year is also the saturation year. What it means is that this is the peak year interm of drastic performance jump. Any comeback from a group that has already comeback will not yield the same improvement. Instead, we will see an incremental improvement.

So yes in conclusion, we need to see aespa and Itzy comeback to gauge where they stand.

Lol, what bs is this? Are you for real?

Groups of the Big 4 are constantly, non-stop being downplayed, Aespa being only the most recent example of that, have you even seen the massive amount of threads in anon about Aespa where people are constantly downplaying them.

And before them the same happened to groups like BP, ITZY, RV, EXO, Enhypen, Treasure and on and on.

  • This is the thing I don't understand, and it's not just for IVE either. Back in the day idols use to appear on TV and put out lots of reality shows all the time even when they weren't promoting a comeback. Nowadays after the two or so week of comeback is over, they disappear. Yeah, sometimes they might upload a pic on their IG or Twitter or something, but I am not among the people who consider that real content. If I wanted to stare at their faces, there are thousands of other pics and videos of them online.

I don't know how hard is it to film some fan content. Do they think that those not going to help their popular or what? With how fast IVE rising in popular, more content for people to get into the group is definitely needed, but of course it is starship. They know nothing about promoting and market their group. They make good music, but that's pretty much the end.:facepalm: Starship really need to start waking up. They hit a jackpot with IVE.

  • ML's don't tell the full story, FMR is at 41m views and really starting to struggle. It's estimated to take almost a whole year to hit 100m views. Itzy, Aespa, Ive are all passing that mark and I know they used ad's but hers the thing so did Queendom and did overall worse on YT than those groups last comebacks too.

Their streams on Spotify are struggling too, no real evidence exist to back up the claim RV currently have stronger international digital than Ive, Itzy and Aespa as they simply don't.

I kinda agree that MLs don't tell the full story, but they do tell part of the story, it's not for nothing that BTS and BP next to high streams also had high peaks in MLs.

Same for youtube and youtube views, they tell part of the story especially when you take the likes into consideration which are less influenced by paid ad views and zombie streaming than the views. And when you check the likes it's more like BP >>> Aespa = ITZY > TWICE > Red Velvet > I-dle > IVE.

As for the whole discussion, I don't think all those groups you mentioned are far from eachother, one has better views, the other better likes, yet another has better MLs while another has more follower in Spotify or better streams for their latest song etc.

Overall IVE are doing well for a rookie group, but I'm not that convinced that they're anywhere near the point that they far surpass all the competition with the exception of TWICE and BP, like OP claims (but OP might be a troll or Aespa/IVE anti).
