Why are people so fake on main?

They act like it's a whole new breed posting here on anon. They act all good and mighty on main and drag idols on anon. I've seen so many solo stans here and on main they act like saints.

Yeah I don't think there's that much of a difference. Comments on main can often be meaner actually since they aren't screened by mods before they get posted

Hehe yep we greedy. Ever since Answering Anons was created I never post in anon anymore. Need those akorns

Every fandom has a few users who are ready to "defend" their favorites even if it comes across as a bit aggressive and even if they end up stooping low as a result. Those users do that on main and Anons. They don't care and they're not trying to hide anything.

I'm not sure why anyone would associate the genuinely nice users with those users. That's a pessimistic way to look at things. I'd like to have more hope for the user base of this forum than that! Not everyone is two-faced.

Yeah maybe there's one or two users who change their "personality" but I think most main users stay the same. Especially the ones who've been here for a while. Maybe new users can flip back and forth a bit but old users don't really care

I know some users claim that they can always tell who's posting in anon, but personally I really can't. It's only happened once that I "figured out" who a user was and they're just as overly defensive on the main forum (hence how I figured it out).

Excluding me but people are fake everywhere, both online and irl. I'm the real deal and don't pose as somebody I'm not. It's easy to have a more powerful persona behind a keyboard.
