Z-pop Dream was a attempt of making Kpop globalized by using english lyrics, and giving some asian nationalities not usually getting recruited by Kpop agencies a chance. That seems to have failed since Zgirls and Zboys seems to be on indefinite hiatus and perhaps even quietly disbanded. But what if their lineup and debut songs was totally different? Despite not singing in korean and having korean members.

This is the original lineup of Z-Girls and their debut song.

The song was generic and very outdated to be honest. It sounded like something made in early 2000's. The girls look fine, but many said they don't fit the korean beauty standard.

But what if the lineup was this? I kept Carlyn(filippino), Mahiro(japanese)and Joanne(taiwanese)because I think they do fit Kpop standard.

And their debut song would have a sound like Loona's ''Star'' english version.

Do you think they would have been received better by fans, and not been banned from performing on korean music shows?

Looks like High Up did moved?

Few facts about the Okkari: Not so much is known about them, other than they are 10x physically stronger than a average human being. They do not age, but not entirely immortal. Homeworld is unknown, but we suspect they are from the other side of the galaxy. It is suspected they visited Earth before thousands of years ago, and ancient civilizations thought they were angels/gods from the heavens, because of their ethereal appearance.

I really hope there will be hoa viets Cpop idols or trainees who will not be afraid of embracing their vietnamese side. Just like the DD52 girls with one of them wearing ao dai.

Seen some vietnamese fanpages of Cpop, but they are a minority. I feel many vietnamese are still anti-China and I kind of understand why too. The political tension between the two countries are not decreasing.

If I were Hanbin, I should ask Belift to terminate my contract, so I can audition for other agencies where the chances for debut are higher. I think Vietnam needs to go the nugu route. Like Dita from Indonesia with SN and look how well they are doing. Despite coming from a small company.

As much as I want to see vietnamese on chinese survival shows, I think the chance for that to happen is very small. Like Korea, China doesn't see vietnamese as marketable, and not to mention the political tension between the two countries. Hoa viets I see more likely and we already have the girls in DD52 that we know of. I do hope there are Hoa viets in mainland China who are in Cpop that are willing to embrace their vietnamese side, and maybe show up in vietnamese showbiz.

For some months ago, I was confident Hanbin was going to debut. Now, I'm really unsure. Looking at HYBE plans that's been unveiled, I don't see any of the upcoming groups Hanbin could join. Giving his own twitter while other trainees don't, is a danger sign now when I think about it. Maybe HYBE is just using him to highlight their trainees? It's a dangerous conspiracy thought, but not impossible.

Damn their newest b-side songs are strong! Especially New Me! As a Ujung, I'm satisfied! And FU Mnet!

    maybe probably...

if the song they released was in Korean they should sing korean, if the song was in Mandarin then mandarin etc etc

the issue is knetz have with China and things Chinese...

now if WayV were to change it - ie a song they released being in Mandarin then suddenly changing it to Korean to appease the korean audience and knetz, that might draw them maybe more backlash from their Chinese fans and the Chinese public

I was thinking like this: Next comeback, the mini-album and cb song will be in mandarin regardless. When performing on korean music shows, they use the korean version instead. Why would chinese fans be angry if the main product, the MV and single is in chinese. It's just when they are on a korean stage, they use the korean version. Or maybe use one of the b-side in korean to promote.

interesting so in your opinion its best to kowtow to the wishes of the masses when things get heated?

would that not mean that WayV might also face backlash from their Chinese fans? (which are arguably more important than their korean fans?)

Tough situation, but I don't know. Just think they should sing in korean for the time being. What do you think they should do? Just continue on singing in mandarin on korean shows?

be identified as a chinese Kpop group and not Cpop. Also, they should perform just korean songs on music shows. On MV's, they sing in mandarin. I think that would be the best route for the boys and SM, so they don't get more hate from knetz. Because I see increasing korean comments on music shows appearance, and they are not nice. They don't need China to be successful. WayV tops the album chart in Korea, so it means they have a decent korean fandom. Just let them sing in korean when in Korea, so it doesn't create more unnecessarry backlash against the poor boys.
