A top actor in Korea in a show that gets universal hate....

Nostalgic 80's feeling!

I usually don't agree with knetz at all, but after reading this from a korean WAV, I'm starting to be very worried. Starting to think the company has financial challenges and having 24 members might have stretched their economy way more than they could managed. That's why Modhaus decided with letting some of the members leave dorm and others to be more independent. I think it's more too it than just caring for the members health.

That's good for the members, but a lot of koreans WAV are angry about this news.

To be honest, it's about time Kpop companies finally do something about online harassement online. The criticism of Coachella has gone way overboard. The comments on both LSF official accounts and the members personal IGs have been spammed by right-wing nationalists spewing anti-japanese messages. They need to be stopped. This is something western entertain companies should learn from Korea so they can protect their minority actors and artists from right wing scumbags.

I mean if I were a CEO of a company and wasn't satisfied with my group, then I would rather disband the group, let the idols go and try to debut a new group again. That's what I would do because I feel that is the most logical and most human thing. But why are some companies so petty and crazy? Is there any logical explanation? Envy? Jealousy? Just being cruel for the sake of looking down on your own artists?

This is the equivalent of being renewed for 5 more seasons
It ain't over
It's barely even started
Thoughts and well wishes to the mods and few users actually providing updates
So Hybe pretend nothing happens and let MHJ-Ador do what they want with NJ until her contract expires in two years? Maybe Hybe will not give them strong finance backing like in the past and Ador is kind of left on their own? If that is the likely scenario, then I'll take it. Just want my NJ to be happy and making music as long as they can!
-
Just read the news. So is it over? Can Ador and NJ go back to normal and continue producing wonderful music and Hybe do their own things with their own groups?
-
About time my girl got some CF works!
-
If NJ stays or leave Hybe, how will this affect their brand deals? They stay, they keep their brand deal but if they leave it's cancelled?

The song really is a BOP, but I can't ignore the mv looks very cheap compared to previous mv?

Are they making more or less than, say a cashier, cleaner, construction worker, bus driver etc?
-
But what will happen to NJ? Can they break free and promote outside of Korea? Or will Hybe just not let them go?
-
Been trying to stay away from all the mess, but I'm so worried for NJ future. Regardless if MJH wins or not, they are stuck with Hybe and from what I can tell reading certain statements from the Hybe leadership, they are going to try to put NJ in the dungeon and ruin their career. If MJH wins, then NJ is certainly have a good chance to still be active, but the powers Hybe have over the korean entertainment, they are going to create a situation where NJ cannot promote at all in Korea. Similar to SM's so-called blacklist of Jessica....

Damn I looking forward to this one! Previous Badge War were really good and this looks even more fun!

When the Coachella and Hybe mess started, LS sns was bombard with vicious comments. But now it seems to have died down. There are still a few negatives to be seen, but they are decreasing and supportive comments are taking over
I was worried for the girls mental state in their worst period, but it seems they prevailed. Now I hope for ILLIT the same. They are still getting attacks, but like with LS it will die down when the Hybe situation is forgotten....

Is The Kpop Industry on the Decline?
Plagiarism, no creativity, and a lack of fresh talent... These are the issues the media is highlighting within the K-pop industry
The evidence is clear in the emergence of numerous idol groups that bear uncanny resemblances to each other. From their visuals to concepts and sounds, it’s all starting to feel repetitive, leaving fans disenchanted. Recent incidents include ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin calling out HYBE’s newest girl group ILLIT for copying NewJeans. Debates also swirl around LE SSERAFIM’s live performance skills, and aespa Karina’s handwritten apology letter over dating rumors.
These scandals aren’t just causing a stir in public opinion, but are also shedding light on the limitations plaguing the Korean entertainment landscape. LE SSERAFIM’s recent performance at the Coachella Music Festival on April 13 left fans in shock due to their disappointing live singing. LE SSERAFIM left much to be desired with their subpar vocals.
The K-pop scene’s downward spiral is getting more pronounced, with its production formulas and MVs sharing strikingly similar themes. It’s a letdown for fans when they compare current idol groups against predecessors like BIGBANG and 2NE1, who were revered for their distinct colors. “As personal styles in music become harder to distinguish, K-pop fandoms must find new ways to identify idol groups through their vocals,” noted cultural critic Sung Min Seong.
Experts within the Korean industry argue that Kpop’s decline can be attributed to artists and their companies neglecting to prioritize skills and talents. Many Kpop groups in recent years have failed to make a significant splash on the global stage, despite hefty investments, signaling a worrying trend for the Korean music scene.

It's good to hear Kokoro and Miu speaking korean again

Should the groups lay a bit low? A small hiatus until things has settled down? The toxicity on their social media accounts is horrendous.
