exactly, newjeans impact as a group was unmatched; and they literally made almost all their songs chart in the top 50 in april/march. (which is unheard of i think...)the gp's support of njs also tremendously grew etc...

I chose aespa not only because of supernova, but because of their overal impact on the music industry specially in korea and asia too.

their musical, artistic and conceptual roll out has been absolutely OTHERWORDLY this year. It was INSANE!

i did overal prefer Supernatural as a song. But it was a japanese release. and so far on the korean side, supernova/armageddon/whiplash release back to back is like .

it's second only to Attention/Hybe Boy/Ditto rollout. Like really. And i would put the Red Flavor/Peek a boo/Bad boy rollout right in the top 3 alongside these two groupes .

on the other hand, if aespa's music dominated njs music in korea specifically, i do think that njs as a group dominated aespa too. like the numbers are out there to demonstate that clearly (specially the gallup pole but also the spotify/circle stats). yama is right in that regard.

also, obviously, it's not really fair to put a group that was figthing a mega company like hybe who was literally trying to end their carrier at all coast, to a group that has been the top priority of their company who went all out for their combacks.

again, many groups in njs case would have collapsed. njs survival and in such a way is almsot like a miracle. njs are already legends.

Basically this will be full on Chris Lee gg. No more LSM, no more MHJ ...

if they play it smart, they could overtake ive's position as the representatives of SNSD/Twice concept, specially since ive seems to have abondon it for some while now .

In my opinion, unless they propose something really unique and authentic like triple S who had an interesting and inspired variation of the y2k/highschool concept, i don't think it's the right direction for smgg.

This trend following thing is just insufferable ugggggg. The market is so oversaturated, if you don't propose something different you're not gonna stand out. And everyone doing the same dreamy/artsy concept is just BORING.

I think SM should take inspiration from SNSD, OMG, plus Twice for their new gg and modernize the concept. Not many ggs are doing it and they could distiguish themselves from the other 5th ggs.

Not fx or rv and even less njs. Their creative director MHJ already debuted NJs following that MHJ core.

For example, Ive was the representative of SNSD/Twice core continuation. But if sm plays smart, they could overtake Ive's position since Ive seems to have abondoned (very dumb move btw) that girly/elegant concept since 'I am'.

also bad song choice and bad role distribution.

electric shock or red light would have been a much better choice .

and I would have prefered sulli's lines to go to ningning and krystal lines to go to karina. they both would have embodied the cheeky/sultry and dark/mysterious vibes well.

but in truth, fx is mostly krystal vibes and the unique charms and beauty of the members. it can hardly be replicated or even matched in it's essence. that's why fx are such a difficult group to cover .

hybe is probably gonna ship them in japan where they have a lot of connections and a better reputation. well japan is a huge market so... who knows they might do well there. not great but fine, i mean beyond the hybe payola bs .

regardless, illit was nothing more but a tool against njs and mhj. while ssera has always been the priority, the true hybe princesses aka hybe's flagship gg. and i agree that the 5th gen group that hybe will focus on will be soumu new gg not illit.

Yet I don't think bang has said his last word with illit tho. he seems the obssesive persistant type. The kind of being unable to accept his failures. so instead of questioning himself to improve, he just doubles down in his nonsense.

It's just gonna end up looking pathetic really. even with all his payola.

If anything the groups she produced while they were indeed regarded for their good concepts and music (FX and RV) never reached the top #1 spots in their generation having both fandom + GP.

Will they be successful? Sure she is good. Will they be one top, imo it’s hard to say.

She was SNSD's art director for Gee and Genie so yes she had trememdous influence in their success. Specially when they became nation and asian phenomon with Gee .

Also for fx and rv, she literally gave them the best production, concept in all kpop. but again she didn't have full control of the groups like she did with njs so it's not really comparable situations. alot of problems regarding these groups were also linked about how badly they were treated or promoted by sm. when sm didn't even bother to promote psycho but instrad chose to focus on his bgs expansion in usa, it was pretty telling to say how the management didn't try their best to push these ggs.

and most importantly, these groups debuted like 10 years ago, meanwhile she learned and gained so much experience since then. the 2024 mhj is vastly superior to 2014 one. she knows the best strategies to when and how debut groups or memebrs. promotion stategies etc. that's why she is also so against hybe's multi debut gg strategy.

Also to answer this thread, it's very likely to happen, actually it happened with njs. the first group with who she had FULL control.

But smgg are gonna be Chris Lee's gg. So no, they're gonna flop. Or semi flop. I don't expect better quality than riize. At last, LSM had sparks of genius. But Chris Lee?? He's only another MHJ copycat. Another bang but less nasty, less egomaniac, less irational (probably through lsm's influence) and just less powerful.

I'm actually a chill person and have never attacked anyone personally. Well except Bang trash. But that demon deserves it.

I stayed collected and chill even when thephantom guy for example was harsh and actually quite nasty towards me. (We good now ). I never attacked any idol personally either. Saying someone can't sing isn't a personal attack.
