I guess my problem with ai is that it can't make a difference between quality and quantity. When it doesn't matter what is the source: then it can get a good summary. But it can't fact-check or decide about what sources to take or not take seriously. Like it will treat a facebook or akp comment with the same weight as a well-informed article or a statement from a legal representative.
That has definitely been one of the biggest issues with the overuse of generative AI in recent times. It is not something that should be used blindly or as a source of truth. To even call AI "intelligence" is a huge stretch lol. Like the response it gave about ARMY is likely just from it seeing the word "ARMY" and "toxic" mentioned together a lot by other fandoms. It has no concept of what toxicity is.

Idk a whole lot about AI, but I do know software very well. AI like ChatGPT is only as good as the data sets it uses, so yes it can very often be confidently wrong about things, since it doesn't actually "know" what it's being asked or what it's saying in response. AI is rooted in statistics, so it's just using data from the web to give what it "thinks" is a probable correct response based on all the data it analyzes. So I'm not entirely sure how it reached this conclusion but it's definitely not being pulled out of thin air and is based on some degree of certainty from the data it looked at. So it's not very good at solving novel problems but it does tend to be decent at stuff like "given all this data, what do you think", which is essentially all I asked it. Again I am not an AI expert lol, just a computer enthusiast in general.

The funny thing is this really has been their reasoning on reddit that I've seen though. They've been praying for weeks that a member will defect, and I often see Haerin suggested, using the brilliant logic that she's quiet lol. Or Hyein because she's young. Really grasping at straws.

BABYMONSTER, especially Ahyeon, has been bringing back 2NE1 and BIGBANG spiritually. I love.
Yea I actually really like how YG has handled BABYMONSTER in relation to the senior YG groups. BM has done plenty of 2NE1 covers but afaik BP never did anything like that and I don't even think the groups interacted. Maybe I'm wrong though since I did not follow BP since debut.

Nobody on AKP can do this because we all love to argue. High egos mixed with parasocial relationships cannot resist toxicity and trolls.

It's unavoidable but not entirely. Nowadays, most people just hate simply because they can.
But then again: if your faves aren't being hated on, then they clearly aren't doing something right.
I would say it's avoidable but not entirely, as in I think it's possible to tune a majority of it out. But it's always going to be unavoidable to some degree if you are engaging with the wider kpop community at all. As a wise man once said: "Haters gonna hate".

I kinda lost interest in kpop a bit after BPs comeback in 2022. I didn't really follow kpop much in 2023 other than comebacks of the groups I like but even then I wasn't like staying up til 12am anticipating the comebacks. Really the most engagement I had was music and talking with my friend about NJs and LSF because he got really into them. Also the 5050 drama. Then BM pre-debuted (Batter Up is a pre-debut song, facts), and even though I didn't like Batter Up much, I started to get very interested in them and watched the Last Evaluation. And this year has definitely been the most I've engaged with the kpop community as a whole. Now I have 1.6k posts on an obscure kpop forum.
