Babymonster debuted on April 1st, 2024 with the hit single 'Sheesh'
my hope is that these concepts are so overdone that everyone has no choice but to come back to the land of girl crush and stan BABYMONSTER, all going according to plan
You're actually an idiot David, so desperate to be able to say Jisoo "flopped" that you have to compare this to her first solo at the peak of BP's popularity. Even worse, you are using very pre-mature numbers like melon charting and first day album sales, all of which can easily change in another week or so. Let me know what the month album sales look like and let me know how melon looks in a couple weeks. Either way, I won't care, because Jisoo clears any of your faves and soloists. That's not hate, that's just 100% fact!
And is this your first day in k-pop? Comparing against other groups and soloists is a given, wtf do you expect? Sorry that none of these groups and soloists can come even close to the BP members, not my fault.
They'll compare her Spotify streams to the others BP girls bc they can't use their own faves to try something while completely ignoring Jisoo doing better in China, TikTok, yt and etc bc suddenly just Spotify matters.
omg I know I'm actually laughing that the only way they can downplay BP girls is by comparing them to themselves LOL. Truly suffering from success
Better than groups too so better than 99% of kpop?
I'll wait for the antis to chime in, they know more about BP streaming numbers than I do....
aren't these numbers still bigger than like pretty much every k-pop soloist ever? or no? May not be performing as well relative to their other MASSIVE successes, but still doing really well. buncha
Yes. Towards the venue for making absolutely zero effort to clean up the stage and make it at least reasonably safe to perform on.
Yea I figured as much, I'd be on the next flight to Korea looking to throw hands with whoever runs the venue if I saw this happen to BABYMONSTER. I mean, as you said, it seems they did literally nothing to make the stage safe at all. And I've seen falls before, but these were some really hard falls.
Yuju is my favorite member of the group, I love her vocals, which is why this is really painful to watch for me. But at the same time I only admire her more now for being able to grin and bear it through something like this, especially since it was out of her control. I probably would've rage quit. Good to know there was at least some silver lining from this though.
I really like GFriend and I was just looking up some of their live performances and stumbled upon this. I though to myself "wow, 16m views, this must be one of their best performances!". I'm not even sure I can re-watch this video, it's so hard to watch.
I assume the floor was just really wet. But at what point do you just call it a day and stop the performance for the members' safety? Was there any backlash from fans after this? It's honestly amazing that they were able to maintain their composure and continue performing with a smile, especially since I think they were just teens at the time. I don't think I could've done the same.
She can be my mommy
This is the first time I ever showed up for the premiere of an interview but I could not miss this.
I love Jisoo!!!

I do think some is similar yea but we would've never gotten the level of production or the amount of music we are getting if they had stayed with YG. We'd be lucky to be getting 1 solo with < 10 songs, instead we are getting EVERY member with dozens of songs all in the same time period. So maybe YG would have allowed them to do whatever they wanted musically but YGE would've never been able to facilitate projects of this level for each girl in such a short time.
