this is very probably what's going to happen. tbl is also setting up their new gg, which means that they'll go public with BP, a huge act, and then will develop others. I just don't know what this means for the YG relationship. Is Teddy every close to YG?

BTS not only made Hybe what it is today but also gave kpop more audience. She definitely should stay quiet about stuff like this. She can say she went ahead and did what she thought but to think that all this success is coming despite the agency's money/reputation?

im talking about what the Herald reported a few weeks ago, that BP has already had talks with TBL.

rosé is the only one that would benefit from signing to a US label. Lisa as a "rapper" will not sell well in the US market, without the kpop label attached. and as we've seen in their concerts she's not comfortable in singing (ever)

Everyone knows how i feel about BP in this debate, they were clearly paving their own way as early as 2017 when nobody in the US cared about BTS. But even for Twice or any other GG for that matter that made inroads more recently, i'm trying to find a link between BTS blowing up from 2019 to the present and the rise of GGs, and it's really really hard.

for kpop as a whole, bgs *and* ggs. what's so offending for fans to acknowledge that? i hope ppl who spend all their time talking about how boa paved the way for everyone also does the same for bts 5 years from now lol

thier numbers in Asia are crazy. honestly i think their tour only seriously started in barcelona in terms of crowd engagement.

bp members have more solo visibility via their endorsments. but jk had l&r and the world cup this year so he's definitely more recognized in kpop.
