ridiculous , everybody knows bp members even if they cant spell it right. bts , at least the maknaes everyone knows them. bp members can survive having individual careers. look at their individual emvs & spotify stats individually , its even miles away from other ggs.
in bts, the fd is so big that can hardcarry each members and no one can be called flop at all. suga was able to carry concerts, j-hope headlined music festivals, rm is well known within music industry, v /jimin have solid fbs and album sales alone can carry them esp V with his endorsements ( EMV ranking) , jin album sales are fine too- he & v can be an actor when they come back. And lets not even talk abt jungkook, he has a solid fb , gp support and massive potential to be even a bigger artists.
what abt gidle? if ch is their only solid fb, they are doomed. they are the oldest 4th gen. ggs unless ur bp who is into fashion will be forgotten. like twice has no member except nayeon who are able to have a good solo career.

This is such a ridiculous comment. No, nobody in kpop with the exception of maybe Jungkook due to Seven has the permeability in mainstream music in the west to be considered household names.
I think you're severly overestimating what it takes to be an identifiable household name if you think everybody just actively knows who bts or bp members are.
I also never said China was I-dle's only foothold, I said it was the biggest.
Japan isn't Twice's only foothold, but it is the biggest. Now if other kpop groups had Twice's permeation in Japan, I'd maybe entertain your suggestion that Your average person could identify them with no issue
But I don't think any other active kpop act with the exception of BTS has the kinda consistent permeation in any country not korea to be easily identifiable to your average random guy on the street.
Like why would I believe that John Smith could tell who Jennie is in the US when SZA didn't have that level of identifiability until her second album despite her first being lined with chart topping hits.
