Their government is so indecisive. If only they didn't drag this shit out since 2018- people won't make it such a big deal and less korean incels will be outrage. Just make a fucking decision and move on. This is confusing the members as well. Or just let them enlist peacefully!

He truly is!

I'm speechless and he definitely exceeded my expectations. He's really a monster on stage and can hold a stage & crowd on his own. You can see him being exhausted asf in the second half of his performance, but still great considering it's his first time performing alone without members beside him to share the energy. After this, he will grow more as a solo performer. And I can't wait for that!
Now, where is the solo tour??? 🤔🤔🤔

- BTS paved the way for expanding Kpop overseas especially in western countries
- Girl groups are more popular in Korea but boygroups are more popular internationally
- A lot of groups are uninteresting and that's probably why I can't get into them
- A lot of users here are corny and hateful towards the groups they 'hate' and it's sometimes concerning
- Trolls in akp are probably the most unfunny people ever. And they don't even makes sense when trolling
- Last but not the least, dynamite is the superior English song and PTsD should've never been released from that rotten vault

Yes anon, BTS is actually miles miles miles ahead of other groups. The stats are louder anyways.
Also, why is the post reeking insecurity or bitterness? That person is seething lmao.
Ntm on Hobi cause he's performing soon as a headliner at Lollapalooza and selling out half of the merch tent there.
Anyways, these people should find some peace in their life. Being this hateful towards the artists (who doesn't even know we exist) is concerning. Time to log out and make some friends :)

The index is not revenue generated. The index is to tell how much the sales would be if all albums were priced similarly.
Let's take Nayeon's album for example. 'Proof' has 11 times the sales of 'IM NAYEON' but 'Proof' index is 33 times that of 'IM NAYEON'. That means if both were priced similarly then 'Proof' would have sold 33 times more than 'IM NAYEON' when it has actually sold only 11 times just because of the price difference.
Hanteo actually shows revenue as well. I remember seeing 'Proof' having $86m revenue when it was at 2.8m sales on Hanteo.
You explained it well.
It's exactly $96,339,649.7 with the price of 51.9 USD & 17 USD on weverse global. And if we're basing it on Hanteo numbers with the month of June & let's say 50% of sales are from standard ver then the other half from compact version. That's the baseline but it's more than that because when it was first released the prices were 55 USD & 21 USD until HYBE changed it. Just dk how many albums were sold during that time. Either way it's probably just a small gap like up to 100M USD or probably more lol.
I think be: generated as much money as MOTS:7 despite selling half of it.
Yes. I estimated that MOTS:7 generated somewhere between 100M USD - 105M USD, then BE 'Deluxe' edition generated 110M - 120M USD. Can't compute the exact amount due to shipments from other countries, but that's the ballpark. So yes, BE did not only generated as much money as M7, it edges it a bit due to the price tag.

Really? Majority of kpop fans buy albums within their means. They are maxing their 'budget' for albums to support their favorite group/s and even if it means buying it multiple times with the same version (with the push of photocards). You might only buy one album, but a lot of fans especially collectors buy in bulk or multiple copies within their budget. And this is how the kpop industry thrives in. It's like saying that groups who's selling cheap digipacks will stay million sellers if they tripled the price next release. So yes, album pricing has a big effect in Kpop sales.
And although I did this to gauge their 'supposed' album sales for Proof due to Hanteo chart- I still believe that they can definitely do 10M copies with this release if they were doing the same as the rest of the groups.
Also look at the jump of album sales for every groups in 2020 VS. 2021. Everyone doubled their sales due to gimmicks and demand of kpop album overall except BTS. That's because after Mots7 they stopped doing the usual Kpop releases and HYBE somehow tripled or quadrupled their album pricing.

MOTS:7 sold 5M copies and that was in 2020 before their huge global breakthrough and huge demand for kpop album overall.

the compact ver was pretty cheap so it will probably do huge number on its own
i was kinda surprised how well the standard ver was selling in some countries almost as much as the compact ver(europe + japan)
it made me realize bts have a huge rich collector fanbase
no wonder their merch keeps selling so much
Actually, the standard ver has been outselling the compact ver now. Idk the exact sales for each versions. But this is what the sales look like not even a day after Proof got released in Hanteo charts.
I'm pretty sure both versions will sell at almost the same copies at the end of the year. I expect a small gap with Standard version edging the Compact ver a bit. We shall see on Gaon Year End chart on Dec.
Also, does the Oricon sales do not count in Hanteo/Gaon chart?

So, I checked out the new Hanteo feature wherein we can see the physical record index when considering the price of every albums sold. I can't help but notice the gap and difference compared to the rest of the albums listed below it.
This list is for the month of June.
So, I did some math and came to the conclusion that it had a huge potential to reached 10M copies at a minimum if we consider WW sales at the end of the year.
Let's use the second album as an example;
988,204.06 x 10.468 = 10,344,520
(#2 album record index x the formula = Proof's record index for the month of June)
760,157 x 10.468 = 7,957,323
(#2 album sales x the formula = Proof's album sales based on Hanteo's record index for the month of June)
Note: The formula is the index gap between the second and first album, then I used it to get the Proof's 'supposed' album sales in Hanteo if it was released at the same price as the second album.

As they should. It looks like a school project of a middle schooler, tbh. And I would seethe too if I pay more money to shipping than the actual products.
HYBE gets a lot of pass to armys despite them fumbling BTS' bag so many times, and now they pulled this with Hobi's solo. If only the fandom doesn't make up of company stans lol.
-
-
And they tell us Armys are leaving BTS
Kpop fans saw a few minority on socials hyping up this new group and think that the fandom left BTS already. Forgetting that majority of armys only fuck with BTS and not necessarily into kpop as a whole. And it's not like army multis already exists...
