Lucid dream is the most neutral song of the album and if you like r&b or something more chill you'll like lucid dream (like me) so I'm not surprised people like it the most. Lucid dream is one of the favourite songs of the members too.

I don't classify experimental/disjointed = noisy music by default. There isnt a part in Next Level that sound noisy /annoying to ears.
And I also cant agree that u put next level as noisy and say nothing ITZY released is noisy music. Not shy is like the nosiest 4th gen GG song I ever heard. Guess our definitions are different.
I don't consider aespa music "noise music", a bit experimental? Yes but not noise. Black mamba was quite mild compared to NL and savage, many of us thought SM gave them a safe song for their debut. Next level has the various songs in one structure but it doesn't sound like noise and Savage was more intense than NL but I don't consider it noise either except for the high notes ending. I thought savage was more melodic than NL
Nmixx 0.0 follows NL structure but it doesn't sound like aespa more like it sounds like ITZY (the first part). They tried several genres in one song and I don't think it worked well
To be fair, I like Next Level because I like PARTS of it a lot. Some parts not as much, but overall, the good outweighs the bad.
I like parts of O.O too, but it's weird for all of those parts to be together. I hate the first 25 seconds, but I like the 2 switch up parts...separately.
Next level beat was actually good, the chorus "i'm gonna next level" is addictive specially because of their pronunciation and the change of sound made the song more spicy otherwise it'd sound too monotone.

I'm not really sure, but their Korean material has been doing great for a group who hasn't stepped foot there. Think their Japanese debut will do well.
I don't mind usa promotions, kpop is global so it's understandable sm wants to promote their new groups in usa but it'd be a mistake if sm ignores japan market when they could make more money there from touring and selling albums than any other country. SM has being ignoring japan for years so low expectations with their japan debut.
Her cbar bought 50k copies for savage album when the bar was only 100k followers and her cbar is 160k now, I'm sure they can pull 70-90K off just fine now, if the rest of the fandom would support her a bit too she could sell 100k-150k perfectly.
I'm not sure how big her korean fandom is so it's hard to estimate.
