lmao really? There are some on here I have no idea who they are.
I could also argue that GWSN isn't really nugu. I'd say they're more underappreciated but nugu range as far as album sales go is typically under 7K which GWSN always exceeds that.
I wish they would get a lot more attention though, I really like them
Well, there are 2 groups here that have sold +40k with 1 release so yeah, I'm putting the santard quite high I guess

I know, I once got a cherry bullet ad........and watched the whole thing. TR Entertainment needs to put in more effort into Tri.Be's mv's though, they aren't as bad as some, but aren't as good as they can be. The lore at the end of Would You Run id Cool. I don't follow Rocket Punch, but I know that they sold more than Great! (by 3,000 copies) and Bboom Bboom has over 330 million views, but they need to comeback, or they'll become like Secret Number (I sorry as much as I love Secret Number, these hiatuses are extremely dumb and why they aren't doing as well).
Bboom Bboom is from Momoland I think you got them mixed up there

I don't consider any of these to be proper nugu except Hot Issue, Dreamnote, Red Square, PurpleBeck and Neon Punch. I think Uni-T and Lunarsolar would be slightly higher than rock-bottom nugu.
Well, I just realized Uni.T disbanded after like 1 comeback so they were definitely nugu, and Lunarsolar last MV has 66k views. Maybe you knew them but idk they are very nugu to me.
I also thought Pixy was the next DreamCatcher because I remember them getting some hype but when you look at their numbers they are sadly barely making it

Yeah, I agree that even though the average Kpop fan may not know them, even though chebul's cover of queendom got 1million views in a week, Tri.Be has surpassed 10 million twice? and I feel like Purple Kiss got a lot of hype. Lightsum also has over 10 million on their debut mv,
and I bought a signed album from mwave because I have faith in them. Billie also got a lot of hype, I think for their visuals, and because of Moon Sua, who competed on unpretty rapstar, and is Moonbin of Astro's sisterIt's fine, I got it!
Yeah, thing is many of these groups views are from ads (nothing wrong with it) since the company wants to promote them, but it's often barely a representation of their fandom or popularity, I do feel like PurKiss, Billlie and Lightsum are a step ahead of the others, but Cherry Bullet, Rocket Punch and Tri.be could also improve if their companies put more effort on them, what Woollim is doing with Rocket Punch and the hiatuses is depressing.

hmmmm, I wouldn't consider Lightsum, Purkie, Billlie, Rocket Punch or Tri.Be nugu but since the industry has become extremely competitive, I think they could count as underrated or nugu
I'm using the average K-Pop fan as a measure and I feel like that kind of fan may not have heard about them since there is a lot of oversaturation on the industry and they are quite new, some of these are "groups on their way to promote from nugu status" or so I would like to think.

More than hearing about them, I'm considering as "nugus" all low tier groups so far when it comes to overall success, the thing is, I don't know if Fromis_9 and Weeekly would be considered to be more on the mid tier nowadays.

They are successful but they were mainly at their peak on their early years because of their touring on Japan, they never got the physicals and people seriously overstimate the importance of having a hit on K-Pop, iKon is just another example of a group having a 1-hit wonder and barely getting any new actual fans with it, since the song surpassed the artist. If to that you add YG incompetence...

There are scales of nugu but some of the names here like Rocket Punch, Cherry Bullet, Pixy, etc are definitely nugu for the casual K-Pop fan, imo with the competition and oversaturation of K-Pop, you can have MV's with like 10M views and still be pretty nugu.
Once you are very into K-Pop like we are, then you can recognize some groups that would usually be considered nugu because we are so into it.
