Sugar Rush Ride - I understand what they means by sensual and refreshing, that's a great description for the song. The chorus was a surprise honestly, I didn't expect it to go in that way but I weirdly like it, it kept me on my toes and was also kind of creepy. Overall I really like the song and the choreo and mv is absolutely fantastic.
Devil by the window - Amazing. It's so groovy but the end is so etheral. I absolutely love it and the lyrics are really good too.
Happy fools - This song really surprised me. I didn't think I was gonna be that interested in it from how the teaser sounded but it was really good. The boys and coi leray mixed really nicely together and both contributed to the song. I also really like the instrumental, especially the intro.
Tinnitus - already knew this was gonna be my favourite from the first listen. I just love it and have no other words. Only wish it was longer.
Farewell, neverland - Such a beautiful song. They killed it with the vocals and it's a perfect ending to the album. Txt always kills it with their more emotional songs.

again the Lyrics controversy was the main issue because of their age obviously. it wasn't an appropriate song to sing for minors. I don't understand how y'all even ignore it and try to make it as the situation is similar when it isn't. Many idols have debuted young like Minzy, krystal sulli, taemin were 14/15 when they debuted Boa w is another example it's not this was unheard of the fact y'all want to pretend glamorizing youth in the way she didn't wan't problematic.
No one is saying mhj isn't problematic. But even before the cookie controversy, people were calling for a boycott of newjeans and calling all their fans pedos. There was thread after thread analysing the attention mv and making weird screenshots to sexualise them and call them pedobait with thousands of likes. And now that babymonster is debuting, newjeans is still getting blamed for things that have nothing to do with them. I'm not wishing for baemon to go through anything near to what newjeans went through, but you can't blame me for getting annoyed at the difference in reactions when to this day everything about newjeans is getting sexualised - even their bloody lightstick. I'm fine with concern, their were genuine concerns with cookie's lyrics but some people did not have the best of intentions and went way to far trying to find anything to provide proof of newjeans being a star prize for pedos.
Again I wouldn't comment on this thread if people just left newjeans out of stuff. And I'm talking about the second part of the tweet, not the first. I have issue with people using newjeans as a shield for their groups ages and acting as if newjeans didn't get called out for the same thing. Basically trying to rewrite history.
People can hate the management - as far as I'm concerned I'm not listening to mhj's voice when I'm listening to ditto. But when the criticism turns into calling the girls hundreds of different disgusting names like "pedojeans" and overanalyisng anything they do, I'm gonna have a problem trying to see that as actual concern.

I'm not defending min heejin. I just find it funny how a few months ago everyone was calling for a boycott of newjeans and bashing anyone who stanned or even thought of stanning them, calling them all kinds of names like pedobait and making up twisted stories saying they're being groomed. But now when we have another group with members the same age and younger, who is being led by a ceo that actually admitted to grooming, we're not seeing any of the same narratives or boycotts. There were threads about the topic for months when newjeans debuted and even now they're getting dragged into the convo with baemon stans saying "but newjeans" to defend the group ages as if newjeans weren't dragged in the exact same way. And now there are people blaming newjeans for the trend of minors debuting as if it hasn't been happening for years before they debuted. I just wish people would admit there was a double standard when it came to newjeans and their fans.
Like I really wouldn't care about this if people weren't trying to rewrite history and drag newjeans into their mess. Tokkis have had to go through shit, baemon stans need to fight their own battles and leave newjeans out of it.
