Neither is my favourite from Itzy but Not Shy is really not as bad as people make it out to be. There are some parts I quite like, like the bridge for example. And the MV is not boring even despite some questionable styling. Whereas Mafia as a song is not really my cup of tea; it’s a bit empty and boring and the abundant raps aren’t exactly extraordinary or anything. Idt it stands out among Itzy’s title tracks as a whole.

The absolute first iu song that i heard of is nagging with seulong in 2010 (i liked it a lot) but she only first registered as a name to remember in my head when good day blew up later that year. Enjoyed all her music from her debut (lost child is amazing) up until 2015, but after that year her style changed and i’ve never connected with it ever since so idk if i can categorise as a fan or not lol. My journey with iu is very sharply segregated: 2008-2015 i liked everything she released, from 2017-now nothing khhjljgk

you can’t claim solji should be on the list of 3rd gen idols but exclude ailee for being from 2nd gen, bc they actually both debuted in the same year (2012) lmao. In fact, their debut dates are literally 1 week apart from each other’s nnnnnn

This is why i don’t put 2012-and-earlier artists as 3rd gen there’s clearly a generational gap between them and the 2014 debutees, especially for ggs, and using exo as a hard borderline without actually taking substantial metrics into consideration to draw the line between the gens is so ill-advised from my pov
