not shy’s concept is definitely more unique in kpop. mafia‘s on the other hand doesn’t really offer anything new; we’ve all seen its blueprints before, which saddens me bc this is the first time an itzy concept doesn’t excite me

yeah that’s a more accurate descriptor. Chaeryeong is naturally talented but not naturally charismatic, which hinders her performing potential sadly

chaeryeong is absolutely the best dancer in the group in terms of skills. She’s just not as eye catching as yeji and ryujin due to a lack of charisma and confidence, that’s why people underestimate her and prefer to watch the others. Techniques wise she’s no doubt the best

It’s also her first official solo collab with a male artist bc every single artist she’s collabed with before is female that’s why she’s singing this time and not rapping i guess

yuna is definitely the standout in mafia. She ate this concept and then some lol. And her stylist didn’t sabotage her like in not shy so that helps lhjlljhk

Mafia is a bit uninspired to me, especially since its inspiration sources were never exactly fresh anyway. The girls worked with what they had and did great; i still don’t really care for the song

Neither is my favourite from Itzy but Not Shy is really not as bad as people make it out to be. There are some parts I quite like, like the bridge for example. And the MV is not boring even despite some questionable styling. Whereas Mafia as a song is not really my cup of tea; it’s a bit empty and boring and the abundant raps aren’t exactly extraordinary or anything. Idt it stands out among Itzy’s title tracks as a whole.

Soojin to me is the next best dancer but Monday is very powerful so it catches the eye a lot. She's really good too.

i think i agree with you that the best dancer in weeekly is soeun, then it’s soojin and next is monday. I think another reason that monday seems to catch a lot of attention is simply bc she’s so tall lol, while soojin is rather ~smol~ and so tends to get overlooked at first glance for her dancing compared to monday.

Coincidentally there’s a snippet in the after school performance vid that has all these 3 in frame and it shows that monday is the only one who got this dance move wrong (it’s the “singing that.. singing that..” part near the end of the song), and if you watch all weeekly’s after school performance vids on music shows it looks like she never quite got it right lol

Based on what i’ve watched and listened to it looks like Monday and Soeun are simultaneously the best dancers AND the best vocalists in their group? Does anyone stan Weeekly and can verify whether that’s true?

I do sometimes when i’m in the mood lol. For 2021 i’ve discovered wjsn’s new me and last dance, weeekly’s yummy and uni, stayc’s love fool as my favourite gg bsides so far

that’s the thing. She’s not tall enough to actually be a catwalk model and her face is not considered the typical standard of beauty, but she seems to know how to work these editorial shoots and has this model vibe that doesn’t automatically come with every pretty face. There’s a difference between being pretty and taking good photos. Her measly 2-3 photoshoots so far already look better imo than those of a lot of some other idols that people usually say are prettier than her. It all comes down to that innate model intuition and whether each model can tap into it or not

She’s an amazing model it honestly blew my mind. Like everyone’s usually raving about solar and wheein’s visuals in mamamoo but imo moonbyul has churned out such amazing editorial pictures as a model, even with the only 2 photoshoots she’s had so far iirc, and even when she’s not considered a visual by even mamamoo stans
