maybe it's just as simple as they love working with each other and really feed off their support for one another

Gosh.. the life of a trainee is harsh.. from the sounds of it (and hearing about all the girls leaving/let go) it's a real bloodbath.

Oh wow.. I guess it's not too bad relatively to other platforms.

Very true. Album sales for Kpop groups are so insane that plenty of A list local talent are probably jealous af lol. Selling just 1 million albums a year (only 500k per comeback which a lot of groups can do nowadays) gets you 10-20 million in gross revenue. It takes billions of Spotify streams per year to make that kind of gross revenue.
List of groups that can sell around 500k per comeback:
127
Boyz
Treasure
BP
Twice
Lesserfrim
Yup.. I was reading a financial report for JYP.. and it said they made $10 M for the year (don't remember which year it was) for streaming for all of their groups combined across all steaming platforms. Streams don't make them much money compared to everything else..

ya.. I'm all for limiting bulk buying.. I usually buy all the album versions of my favs.. but never buy multiples of the same copy. Maybe they should just raise the album prices, that way there's less costs, more profits and better for the environment

I'm not aware of what restrictions were imposed on individual orders, please enlighten me, what are you talking about?
I think a couple of years ago, the Chinese government put in a bunch of restrictions related to bulk buying/Idol worshipping.. etc.. They suspended a bunch of the large bars due to the bulk buying activities and excessive fundraising
For specifics (I can't read Chinese and use google translate), the bars are limiting the number of albums each user can order (I can't tell what the number is) and are also collecting some sort of IDs (I'm guessing as evidence to prove they are not violating any policy).

Why won't u stream the albums u bought on streaming platforms lol
Streaming ≠ looping a song x30 in a day
For me.. I'm working and between that and going out.. etc... I don't really care to find time to steam just to make the numbers look good. I'm perfectly willing to spend $$ though.. bought their physical albums and paid for their digital downloads as well. Donated money to sns groups to promote.
Hopefully they figure out the shipping costs issue... I was able to buy twice albums at almost the same price as what they sell in SK. ($15 usd.. while I'm paying $30 usd for Aespa) JYP must have some distribution deal with Canada/US retailers.

that might be true in the past but since the bulk buying restrictions have been put in place.. there's limits for how many each individual can order. I would imagine almost all of those bar orders are legit now.. especially the big ones as they are probably being monitored... they wouldn't dare risk having any potential issues with the government.
