Britney is the original Taylor Swift. I hate Karens.
Lol. Yeah, the guy was a jerk, so what? Justin is the internet boogie man like Scooter is for Taylor Swift fans. People need to touch grass.

I think YG will only manage the group if the members want to do group activities. Any solo albums, solo projects, or solo touring will not be manage by YG.
This looks like the more likely scenario. Keep the "group" together in name only for promotional purposes for the individual members and their brands. This is nothing like the BTS and Hybe deal. This makes sense for Blackpink, which isn't really a serious musical act anyways. They are more influencer than pop star/ music act.
That's all? That is such an overreaction. Most artist don't own their masters. Shame on her for not buying them sooner. Him buying her masters is above board. Isn't she a billionaire?
Scooter Braun is utter garbage, it’s Bang’s worst decision no matter what Hybe stans or armies say…..What Braun did to TS was disgusting and look at her now, having one of her most successful year, with another year of touring to come, looking to make over 1 billion 😂 Honestly the SK people give Bang too much credit for BTS and for Hybe. BTS made this company, without them it’s nothing honestly. Bang should really kiss the ground they walk on and not throw it down the drain….
Not a fan of Scooter Braun, but what exactly did he do to her that was so awful?
Answer: Dyna enjoyed Columbia's western strategies since they had a vested interest in making the song huge.
To add on. Dynamite is literally an in house Columbia song, look at the producers and those involved with that track.
Display MoreWe need to learn what that word is. How is Seven THE MOST STREAMED SONG IN THE WORLD not reflecting on many of these playlists that are supposed to show it being as such? It should be #1 across the board but is losing out to this
The radio push that stans like you thought was gonna end Dynamite is getting less and less spins as the days wear on

People thought Scooter was about to give him 100B spins when Olivia's Vampire debuted in less than five days with 20M radio impressions and Seven is on day eight.
This is amusing. I'm a stan for calling out the most obvious common sense logic in the music industry, yet time and time again I am proven right with every song BTS or it's members release a song. People here don't want to see the truth regardless how damn obvious it is. The industry doesn't want kpop, foreign companies, or independent labels to get a foothold in the west. The TTH playlist you post about is the most obvious lesson of the industry in the west, you seem to be slowly getting it. You do know I cheer for the underdog here, right?
Don't want to be that guy, but Dynamite had special circumstances. Not sure why that song or Butter is brought up in relative to other BTS promotions. Seven did have payola, just nowhere near the Warner, UMG, Columbia level. Spotify doesn't place songs high on that list based on the love of music like they claim.
Too much stupidity in this thread to count.
Not sure what this "common sense" is supposed to add. If it's you trying to come across as edgy or superior to everyone else here. But the things you mention only reiterate what I said
Common sense is for many of the others in this thread, pointing out basic reason doesn't make one more superior, just not completely foolish.
It's also funny to me that from the top 10 songs on TTH, 3 are from the barbie soundtrack and 1 from that hbo/weeknd show. Always will be silly to me to give soundtrack songs like that big playlisting. I guess TTH is basically just serving as promo for their movie/tv show.
Also geffen having 3 of their artist release after each other in such a short time also doesn't help. They definitely prioritized Rodrigo, and then also put their support behind their new addition newjeans to target the US market, but with the BTS solos it's like they're on the sidelines. Either they don't pay up enough, bighit/hybe america doesn't want them closely involved, or Spotify is simply gatekeeping the artists they have a close relationship with over BTS (might also be a combination of the three). Would be pathetic considering that JK just has helped them launch that new kpop show on Spotify. Similar as to some of the big iheart radio stations not playing BTS songs while BTS has helped sell out their festival concerts multiple times.
Hybe is no where near the size of Columbia, Warners, or UMG. They can't afford to pay what they pay or have the clout to be above them. Spotify is partly owned by Columbia and UMG officially (see stock percentages).
Iheart Radio has screwed them in the past, that's why you don't see the radio promo like you did when they first arrived in the states. No point for them.
But here we are again. No common sense and no one wants to hear the obvious.
Not this subject again. All people complain about is which artist pays more payola while simultaneously assuming their favorite artist should get free promo. Artists and smaller labels always still lose money on this promotion.
She is not a good enough singer at the moment, really simple concept to understand.
If you live in the states, payola and media blacklisting is a thing in the world of entertainment for decades. People are frustrated when things get said when they are not true or not completely correct. Most times there are never any corrections, and even when corrections are made, it's too late to fix because the apology or correction doesn't happen at the key times when most people are paying attention. It's rare that there ever was a correction at all. The only difference in this case, the BTS fandom is more dedicated, organized, and larger than most. So they can make a big scene for any correction or slight. I don't think JC and crew meant it, but even being lazy with information has lasting effects going forward. This is why the overreaction came about. So even small things like this will get called out.
Not this again, but I am glad to see more educated answers here than in the past threads, although there are some ARMY that still miss the factor in all this and won't listen to reason because they hate HYBE so much it blinds them (you know who you are). BOTH LABELS AND ARTISTS PAY FOR PAYOLA. Again where does this logic of BTS getting free payola paid from their label when every big artist for big labels like Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga pay for it out of their own pockets come from? Artists from big labels pay payola here, but BTS should get it for free? Make it make sense.
And that Fifty Fifty song, it's nothing like Psy's song at all. People here actually believe spotify is allowing that song to be one the main playlist, because it's so great and the spotify curator committee decided it didn't require a payola payment for it? How naive are you all?
Display MoreI...and I can't stress this enough...hate Kpop fans.
These irrelevant battles over these stupid "first to..." "the first ever..."
I can assure you your faves don't care that you are going into a bloody battle "to defend them."
If anything, if they see it they're probably embarrassed by you.
I've even heard through the grapevine that many of these idols are completely embarrassed by their fans' behavior on Twitter.
This shit is why everyone hates Kpop fans, Kpop Twitter and they have such a bad reputation in music.
Love Kpop.
Hate Kpop fans.
This was so easily avoidable though, issue is that BTS fans were still sour on how BP was mediaplayed in the west when they first arrived in comparison to BTS. Hell, pop fans in general here have been hearing for years how BP are supposed to be mainstream here (they are not). JC and his team knew better. So that magnified the issue. In a time of payola, misinformation, and overhype in today's world, it's rare for anyone to be corrected for anything they said.
This was so easy to avoid, but the whole show and staff made themselves look completely dumb.
This chump is legit gaslighting people. He or she would say the damn sky is red instead of blue regardless of obvious evidence.
