love the sit-down vocal showcasings - depend on you, say something, better, etc
lol the amount of ppl here trying to downplay Twice's success only just cracks me up
yall rly have no hope
Damn you love to see it
Between candy pop and breakthrough.
Candy pop slightly edges it out cuz of how iconic it was. Sung by even western artists like Sabrina carpenter and Camila cabello
Lol 2016 and 2019 were Twice bruh don’t even play
100% agree - pulled it off so smoothly as well
One of the most biggest and most popular songs of 2017
None tbh. Twice have basically committed themselves to being a KPOP group and a JPOP group at this point. And so I don't see a girl group ever being as recognizable to the Japanese public as Twice are. literally grannies over there have heard of Twice and go to their dome tours.
But if I were to pick, other than Iz*one (if they don't disband and cuz they alr have presence there)
I'd say Itzy? cuz JYP / JYPE are loved in japan b/c of TWICE, 2PM, and now NiziU
Twice did it in less than 2 years I'd say. Released hits like Cheer Up, TT, LOA as rookies and were (not self-proclaimed but proclaimed by SK media) seen as the new NGG.
All in just about 2 years - while continuing to release huge hits ie Knock Knock, Likey, Signal in the same 2nd year.
When they hit them with the TT right after Cheer Up, it was all over.
straight up can't think of a more impactful back-to-back kpop song release
