That doesn’t translate to the general public. It took BTS boy with luv and now Dynamite to be known by the general public. The general public are random people that would know who a celebrity is without having to be on social media. Like Beyonce.
Those album sales were from blinks but that’s okay! Most people don’t buy physical albums anymore unless you are known by the general public.

If you're trying to defend your "ult girl group"(aka only Karina coz she's the only member you care about) then do better.
Shading BP, saying they have no impact in the industry and denying them and Jennie's impact COUNTLESS times is ridiculous. No one was even TALKING about them in the first place, then you were comparing your faves to Chaennie and now look where we are.
We have a right to get angry because comparing your faves who debuted like 2 months ago to well-known, respected, and impactful seniors in the industry who are popular worldwide and domestically is simply delusional.

I have said multiple times that I am a casual fan first and foremost. Also, I didn’t even say anything bad about Blackpink and they are the people that I’m stanning. I’m also not going to hype up my faves 24/7 if I think that the prediction is farfetched. I don’t believe that Blackpink are one of the biggest musical acts of all time. Not yet at least. They aren’t even known by the general public nor have that many “iconic” achievements under their belt.
But, that doesn’t mean anything. It just means that I’m not falling for YG’s mediaplay.
It took me a while to believe that BTS was considered an iconic boy group because I look at facts not whatever is happening online. You can’t really compare your faves to old, legendary groups when all they have is Youtube achievements because it isn’t fair.
I don’t have to treat other “blinks” nicely to consider myself a blink.

Jennie being the IT girl because of her fashion, worldwide brand deals and visuals.And, Rosé being recognised for her unique vocals and ethereal aura the most.
I think that is what Winter and Karina “will be” because there can be more than one member that gets recognised by the public.
